Bioprinted Micro‐Clots for Kinetic Analysis of Endothelial Cell‐Mediated Fibrinolysis

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, Volume 14, Issue 7, March 14, 2025.
This paper describes the development of a microscale model that quantifies the breakdown of fibrin by endothelial cells. The small size scale of this engineered system enables fibrin breakdown to be observed without the addition of external activators. This system could help in identifying compounds which both promote and hinder thrombosis.

3D Bioprinted Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma (HNSCC) Model Using Tunicate Derived Nanocellulose (NC) Bioink

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, Volume 14, Issue 7, March 14, 2025.
A 3D bioprinted HNSCC model for use in anti‐cancer drug testing is established in proof‐of‐concept. The innovative tunicate‐derived nanocellulose hydrogel proved to be a viable alternative to gelatin‐based hydrogel, offering improved bioprintability for HNSCC model establishment.

“Therapies Through Gut:” Targeted Drug Delivery for Non‐Gastrointestinal Diseases by Oral Administration

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Schematic illustration of the mechanism of targeted delivery of nanoparticles including 1) paracellular, 2) endolysosomal escape, 3) receptor mediated endocytosis, and 4) M cell mediated transport for non‐GI diseases by oral administration such as atherosclerosis, cancer, diabetes, and brain diseases. Abstract Oral drug delivery is a promising approach

Reliable Range of Basal FSH for prediction of ovarian reserve

open access: yesJournal of Family and Reproductive Health, 2009
Objective: Basal FSH levels reflect ovarian response and more formed embryos. We investigated a reliable FSH range to retrieve more oocytes and embryos. Materials and Methods: Two hundred patients in ART cycles underwent this study from Apr 2007 to Sep ...
