Analisis Laju Infiltrasi pada Tutupan Lahan Perkebunan dan Hutan Tanam Industri (HTI) di Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) Siak [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
The change in land use may affect the availability of ground due the change of infiltration in to the soil. One of the significant factors that can increase infiltration rate is vegetation coverage.

Giving credit to reforestation for water quality benefits. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
While there is a general belief that reforesting marginal, often unprofitable, croplands can result in water quality benefits, to date there have been very few studies that have attempted to quantify the magnitude of the reductions in nutrient (N and P ...

By dawn or dusk—how circadian timing rewrites bacterial infection outcomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The circadian clock shapes immune function, yet its influence on infection outcomes is only beginning to be understood. This review highlights how circadian timing alters host responses to the bacterial pathogens Salmonella enterica, Listeria monocytogenes, and Streptococcus pneumoniae revealing that the effectiveness of immune defense depends not only

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

Infiltration rate assessment of some major soils. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
End of Project ReportLandspreading of fertilisers and wastes require an evaluation of the risk of overland flow in order to minimise risks of polluting rivers and lakes.

Chemical vapor infiltration of photocatalytically active TiO2 thin films on glass microfibers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Due to the high diffusivity of the chemical species, chemical vapor infiltration (CVI) is a suitable process for the conformal coverage of objects with large dimensions and complex shape geometry.

Mechanisms of IgE‐mediated food allergy and the role of allergen‐specific B cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Food allergy arises when allergen‐specific B cells preferentially produce immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibodies against harmless foods. This article explains the mechanisms driving IgE‐mediated reactions, highlights the central role of these B cells, and discusses how natural tolerance (NT) and oral immunotherapy (OIT) can reshape allergic immune responses.

Infiltration performance evaluation of a 15-year-old concrete grid paver parking area (Italy)

open access: yesBlue-Green Systems, 2023
The management of urban stormwater needs a wide array of environmentally friendly solutions to safeguard water resources and improve the quality of the urban environment.

Characterization of process-oriented hydrologic model behavior with temporal sensitivity analysis for flash floods in Mediterranean catchments [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
This paper presents a detailed analysis of 10 flash flood events in the Mediterranean region using the distributed hydrological model MARINE. Characterizing catchment response during flash flood events may provide new and valuable insight into the ...

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...
