Lymphoreticular infiltrates in invasive ductal breast cancer
Virchows Archiv A Pathological Anatomy and Histopathology, 1986Fifty-two invasive ductal breast cancers were investigated histologically and immunohistologically to assess localization and composition of the lymphoreticular infiltrates. The tumour-infiltrating cells were mainly located in the intervening stroma, whereas tumour foci often exhibited lower numbers of lymphoreticular cells.

Role of Stromal Myofibroblasts Infiltrating Colon Cancer in Tumor Invasion
Pathology - Research and Practice, 1996In the normal colon, myofibroblasts are closely apposed to colonocytes where they deposit type IV collagen, the main basement membrane component. In colon carcinomas, this epithelial-mesenchymal association is physically disrupted, leading to the production of an abnormal, type IV collagen defective, basement membrane. Tumor-infiltrating myofibroblasts

The impact of agriculture, industry, airport activities on soil and water quality is strongly influenced by soil heterogeneity. At Oslo airport large amounts of de-icing chemicals are used for removal of snow and ice. The objective is to quantify how the different processes occurring during snowmelt infiltration of meltwater contaminated with de-icing ...

Indications for Invasive and Non-Invasive Diagnostics in Infiltrating Bladder Tumours
Urologia Journal, 1998Infiltrating bladder tumour is becoming widespread and prognosis is poor, requiring immediate correct diagnosis and staging in order to plan suitable treatment. An excursus is made on both well-tried and recent or experimental diagnostic methods, with particular reference to the new urinary diagnostic tests and genetic markers.

Lymph node involvement and lymphovascular invasion in deep infiltrating rectosigmoid endometriosis
Fertility and Sterility, 2008To analyze the lymph node involvement by endometriotic foci in rectosigmoid endometriosis and to correlate it with clinical and histological parameters including the presence of lymphovascular invasions, which could explain this lymph node involvement.A prospective study of 26 consecutive cases of rectosigmoid endometriosis between January 2005 and ...

Predicting Sentinel Lymph Node Metastases in Infiltrating Breast Carcinoma With Vascular Invasion
International Journal of Surgical Pathology, 2006Sentinel lymph node and clinically negative axillary node status was compared with well-known clinicopathological characteristics such as tumor size, histologic and nuclear grade, lymphovascular invasion, steroid receptor, and HER-2 status in patients with breast cancer (pT1 and pT2).

Invasive diagnostic approaches to pulmonary infiltrates.
Seminars in respiratory infections, 1994The clinical and radiographic presentation of pulmonary disease in organ-transplant recipients often fails to allow the specific identification of a causative pathogen or permit the distinction between infectious and noninfectious processes. Frequently, invasive procedures are required to make a specific diagnosis and initiate appropriate therapy.

Abstract S1-02: Lymphocytic infiltration in invasive lobular breast cancer
Cancer Research, 2016Abstract Background: The presence and prognostic value of tumor infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) in invasive breast carcinoma has been demonstrated in several studies, especially in the triple-negative and HER2-positive subtypes. So far, TILs have not been investigated with sufficient detail in invasive lobular breast cancer (ILBC).

[Invasive aspergillosis of the skull base with orbit infiltration].
HNO, 2007[corrected] Aspergillosis of the paranasal sinuses is subdivided into noninvasive and invasive types, depending on invasion of the tissue. The invasive form often occurs in immunodeficient patients and can be divided further into granulomatous, chronic invasive, and acute fulminating forms. We report the clinical course of an immunosuppressed 64-year ...
