Global configurations of singularities for quadratic differential systems with exactly three finite singularities of total multiplicity four [PDF]
In this article we obtain the geometric classification of singularities, finite and infinite, for the two subclasses of quadratic differential systems with total finite multiplicity $m_f=4$ possessing exactly three finite singularities, namely: systems ...

Global configurations of singularities for quadratic differential systems with exactly two finite singularities of total multiplicity four [PDF]
In this article we obtain the geometric classification of singularities, finite and infinite, for the three subclasses of quadratic differential systems with $m_f=4$ possessing exactly two finite singularities, namely: (i) systems with two double complex

OPERATOR METHOD IN THE PROBLEM OF THE H-POLARIZED WAVE DIFFRACTION BY TWO SEMI-INFINITE GRATINGS PLACED IN THE SAME PLANE [PDF]
Purpose: Problem of the H-polarized plane wave diffraction by the structure, which consists of two semi-infinite strip gratings, is considered. The gratings are placed in the same plane. The gap between the gratings is arbitrary. The purpose of the paper

Singularity formation in the incompressible Euler equation in finite and infinite time
Some classical and recent results on the Euler equations governing perfect (incompressible and inviscid) fluid motion are collected and reviewed, with some small novelties scattered throughout. The perspective and emphasis will be given through the lens of infinite-dimensional dynamical systems, and various open problems are listed and discussed.

Optical beams with an infinite number of vortices
In optical data transmission with using vortex laser beams, data can be encoded by the topo-logical charge, which is theoretically unlimited. However, the topological charge of a single sepa-rate vortex is limited by possibilities of its generating ...

Plastic zone size at notch tip in mode I fracture using the modified Irwin’s model and volumetric approach [PDF]
At crack tip the stress distribution has singularities (i.e the stress intensity is infinite) which is physically impossible. Irwin realised that the stresses at crack tip are finite and subsequently introduced the Stress Intensify Factor(SIF).

Elliptic K3 surfaces at infinite complex structure and their refined Kulikov models
Motivated by the Swampland Distance and the Emergent String Conjecture of Quantum Gravity, we analyse the infinite distance degenerations in the complex structure moduli space of elliptic K3 surfaces. All complex degenerations of K3 surfaces are known to

Stability of Linear Continuous Singular and Discrete Descriptor Systems over Infinite and Finite Time Interval [PDF]
1.1 Classes of systems to be considered It should be noticed that in some systems we must consider their character of dynamic and static state at the same time. Singular systems (also referred to as degenerate, descriptor, generalized, differential-algebraic systems or semi-state) are those, the dynamics of which are governed by a mixture of algebraic ...

Fermi edge singularity and finite-frequency spectral features in a semi-infinite one-dimensional wire [PDF]
We theoretically study a charge qubit interacting with electrons in a semi-infinite 1D wire. The system displays the physics of the Fermi edge singularity. Our results generalize known results for the Fermi-edge system to the regime where excitations induced by the qubit can resolve the spatial structure of the scattering region.
