Imaging of Biphoton States: Fundamentals and Applications
Quantum states of two photons exhibit a rich polarization and spatial structure, which provides a fundamental resource of strongly correlated and entangled states. This review analyzes the physics of these intriguing properties and explores the various techniques and technologies available to measure them, including the state of the art of their ...

Initial directional singularity in inflationary models
In [1] a new cosmological model is proposed with no big bang singularity in the past, though past geodesically incomplete. This model starts with an inflationary era, follows with a stiff matter dominated period and evolves to accelerated expansion in an

Quasi‐Static to Supersonic Energy Absorption of Nanoarchitected Tubulanes and Schwarzites
Nanoarchitected energy‐absorptive Tubulanes exhibit record energy absorption under quasi‐static conditions and exceptional inelastic energy dissipation under 750 m s−1 ballistics impact, with high performance spanning strain rates of 12 orders of magnitude.

Spectral singularities in PT-symmetric periodic finite-gap systems
The origin of spectral singularities in finite-gap singly periodic PT-symmetric quantum systems is investigated. We show that they emerge from a limit of band-edge states in a doubly periodic finite gap system when the imaginary period tends to infinity.

Bio‐Inspired Molecular Events in Poly(Ionic Liquids)
Originating from dipolar and polar inter‐ and intra‐chain interactions of the building blocks, the topologies and morphologies of poly(ionic liquids) (PIL) govern their nano‐ and micro‐processibility. Modulating the interactions of cation‐anion pairs with aliphatic dipolar components enables the tunability of properties, facilitated by “bottom‐up ...

A Convergent Method for Calculating the Properties of Many Interacting Electrons
A method is presented for calculating binding energies and other properties of extended interacting systems using the projected density of transitions (PDoT) which is the probability distribution for transitions of different energies induced by a given ...

2D Magnetic and Topological Quantum Materials and Devices for Ultralow Power Spintronics
2D magnets and topological quantum materials enable ultralow‐power spintronics by combining robust magnetic order with symmetry‐protected, Berry‐curvature‐driven transport. Fundamentals of 2D anisotropy and spin‐orbit‐coupling induced band inversion are linked to scalable growth and vdW stacking.

Heteroclinic orbits, mobility parameters and stability for thin film type equations
We study the phase space of the evolution equation $$ h_t = -(h^n h_{xxx})_x - mathcal{B} (h^m h_x)_x , $$ where $h(x,t) geq 0$. The parameters $n>0$, $m in mathbb{R}$, and the Bond number $mathcal{B}>0$ are given. We find numerically, for some ranges of

In this paper, we study the necessary and sufficient conditions for ensuring the well-posedness of the stochastic singular systems. Moreover, we investigate the stochastic singular linear-quadratic control problems, considering both finite and infinite horizons, and transform each of these problems into their corresponding normal linear-quadratic ...
