On the girth of infinite graphs

open access: yesDiscrete Mathematics, 1993
AbstractLet X be an infinite k-valent graph with polynomial growth of degree d, i.e. there is an integer d and a constant c such that fx(n)⩽cnd, where fx(n) denotes the growth function of X. We show that the girth of such a graph has an upper bound depending on c and d.

Chemoresistome mapping in individual breast cancer patients unravels diversity in dynamic transcriptional adaptation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study used longitudinal transcriptomics and gene‐pattern classification to uncover patient‐specific mechanisms of chemotherapy resistance in breast cancer. Findings reveal preexisting drug‐tolerant states in primary tumors and diverse gene rewiring patterns across patients, converging on a few dysregulated functional modules. Despite receiving the

On cyclic orthogonal double covers of circulant graphs by special infinite graphs

open access: yesAKCE International Journal of Graphs and Combinatorics, 2017
In this article, a technique to construct cyclic orthogonal double covers (CODCs) of regular circulant graphs by certain infinite graph classes such as complete bipartite and tripartite graphs and disjoint union of butterfly and is introduced.

Isoscattering strings of concatenating graphs and networks

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
We identify and investigate isoscattering strings of concatenating quantum graphs possessing n units and 2n infinite external leads. We give an insight into the principles of designing large graphs and networks for which the isoscattering properties are ...

Duality of infinite graphs

open access: yesJournal of Combinatorial Theory, Series B, 1982
AbstractSome basic results on duality of infinite graphs are established and it is proven that a block has a dual graph if and only if it is planar and any two vertices are separated by a finite edge cut. Also, the graphs having predual graphs are characterized completely and it is shown that if G∗ is a dual and predual graph of G, then G and G∗ can be

Infinite Locally Random Graphs [PDF]

open access: yesInternet Mathematics, 2006
Motivated by copying models of the web graph, Bonato and Janssen [Bonato and Janssen 03] introduced the following simple construction: given a graph G, for each vertex x and each subset X of its closed neighborhood, add a new vertex y whose neighbors are exactly X. Iterating this construction yields a limit graph ↑G. Bonato and Janssen claimed that the

Genomics‐led approach to drug testing in models of undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
GA text Genomic data from undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma patients and preclinical models were used to inform a targeted drug screen. Selected compounds were tested in 2D and 3D cultures of UPS cell lines. A combination of trametinib and infigratinib was synergistic in the majority of UPS cell lines tested, which was further confirmed in an ex ...

An advance in infinite graph models for the analysis of transportation networks

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, 2016
This paper extends to infinite graphs the most general extremal issues, which are problems of determining the maximum number of edges of a graph not containing a given subgraph.

Block circulant graphs and the graphs of critical pairs of crowns

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Graph Theory and Applications, 2019
In this paper, we provide a natural bijection between a special family of block circulant graphs and the graphs of critical pairs of the posets known as generalized crowns.
