Senolytic Therapy as a Preventive Strategy for Spine Degeneration and Pain

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cellular senescence promotes inflammation, tissue degeneration, and chronic back pain. In sparc‐null mice, early oral administration of the senolytic agents o‐vanillin and RG‐7112 reduced senescent cell burden and pro‐inflammatory SASP signaling across intervertebral discs, endplates, vertebral bone, and spinal cord.

Infinitely divisible Gibbs States

open access: yesRocky Mountain Journal of Mathematics, 1984
The author explores a notion of infinite divisibility for Gibbs states which is based on the structure of the configuration space for lattice systems as a direct product of cyclic groups of order two. Many simple examples are given to show that such infinitely divisible measures do exist. Partial solutions to several problems are given.

On multivariate infinitely divisible distributions [PDF]

open access: yes
Simple conditions are given which characterize the generating function of a nonnegative multivariate infinitely divisible random vector. Necessary conditions on marginals, linear combinations, tail behavior, and zeroes are discussed, and a sufficient ...

Ultra‐Wide‐Field Noninvasive Imaging Through Scattering Media Via Physics‐Guided Deep Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We propose a physics‐guided adaptive dual‐domain learning method for ultra‐wide‐field noninvasive imaging through scattering media, namely UNI‐Net. Our method not only reduces the requirement for real experimental data by an order of magnitude but also enables clear imaging of complex scenes with an ultra‐large field of view, which is 164 times the OME

A Data-Driven Measure of Effective Connectivity Based on Renyi's α-Entropy

open access: yesFrontiers in Neuroscience, 2019
Transfer entropy (TE) is a model-free effective connectivity measure based on information theory. It has been increasingly used in neuroscience because of its ability to detect unknown non-linear interactions, which makes it well suited for exploratory ...

Decompositions of infinitely divisible nonnegative processes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
International audienceWe establish decomposition formulas for nonnegative infinitely divisible processes. They allow to give an explicit expression of their Lévy measure.

Triple‐Mode Ferroelectric Thin‐Film Transistor for Hybrid Electrical–Optical Reservoir Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A triple‐mode ferroelectric thin‐film transistor is developed by integrating Si3N4/HZO/IGZO layers to realize three independent memory modes: electric long‐term, electric short‐term, and optical short‐term. This single‐device architecture functions as both a reservoir and readout layer, achieving 92.43% MNIST accuracy. It offers a fully hardware‐based,

A Universal Approach to Enhancing Silicon Hot‐Carrier Photodetectors for CMOS‐Compatible SWIR Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Silicon hot‐carrier photodetectors offer a CMOS‐compatible pathway for SWIR detection but suffer from intrinsically low quantum efficiency. Here, we introduce a quasi‐generalized antireflection coating (QARC) that universally enhances optical absorption and quantum efficiency, enabling the first CMOS‐compatible SWIR imaging with silicon hot‐carrier ...

Wavefront Line‐Scan Imaging Via a Single‐Pixel Detector

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We propose and demonstrate a wavefront line‐scan imaging paradigm that integrates 1D spatial light modulation with single‐pixel detection. Benefiting from 1D modulation, not only is the imaging speed improved, but also the storage of modulation patterns is reduced by several orders of magnitude.
