CL-Transformation on 3-Dimensional Quasi Sasakian Manifolds and Their Ricci Soliton

open access: yesMathematics
This paper explores the geometry of 3-dimensional quasi Sasakian manifolds under CL-transformations. We construct both infinitesimal and CL-transformation and demonstrate that the former does not necessarily yield projective killing vector fields.

Symmetries of Differential Equations via Cartan's Method of Equivalence

open access: yes, 2001
We formulate a method of computing invariant 1-forms and structure equations of symmetry pseudo-groups of differential equations based on Cartan's method of equivalence and the moving coframe method introduced by Fels and Olver.

Software to compute infinitesimal symmetries of exterior differenial systems, with applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 1989
A description is given of a software package to compute symmetries of partial differential equations, using computer algebra. As an application, the computation of higher-order symmetries of the classical Boussinesq equation is given leading to the ...

A Systematic Comparison of Alpha‐Synuclein Seed Amplification Assays for Increasing Reproducibility

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Seed amplification assays (SAAs) enable ultrasensitive detection of misfolded α‐synuclein across biofluids and tissues. Yet, heterogeneity in protocols limits cross‐study comparability and clinical translation. Here, we review α‐synuclein SAA methods and their performance across various biological matrices.

On-shell symmetries

open access: yes, 2003
We define on-shell symmetries and characterize them for Lagrangian systems. The terms appearing in the variation of the Poincare'-Cartan form, which vanish because of field equations, are found to be strongly constrained if the space of solutions has to ...

Does Long‐Term Lower Extremity Strength Training in Adults With Knee Osteoarthritis and Varus Alignment Reduce Knee Joint Loading During Gait?

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective We examined whether 18 months of strength training in individuals with knee varus alignment and medial tibiofemoral osteoarthritis (OA) reduced knee joint loads during walking compared to an attention control group. Methods This study was a secondary analysis of a randomized clinical trial that compared the effects of strength training to a ...

Symmetries of nonlinear ordinary differential equations: the modified Emden equation as a case study

open access: yes, 2015
Lie symmetry analysis is one of the powerful tools to analyze nonlinear ordinary differential equations. We review the effectiveness of this method in terms of various symmetries. We present the method of deriving Lie point symmetries, contact symmetries,

Thermophysical Properties of the Desulphurization Slags With Various CaS and CaO/Al2O3 Ratio

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This article investigates how CaS content and the CaO/Al2O3 ratio influence the thermophysical properties of desulphurization slags. Using experimental measurements and thermodynamic simulations, this study reveals complex effects on viscosity, surface tension, and density, providing new insight into slag structure and phase behavior under ...

Removing Oxide Layers and Retaining Oxide‐Free Steel Surfaces by Polishing in Oxygen‐Free Atmosphere

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, the efficacy of wet mechanical polishing under an oxygen‐free atmosphere for deoxidation and the retention of an oxide‐free steel surface are elucidated using X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The methodology proved successful; however, the results were highly dependent on the preparation of the solvents used to clean the samples after ...

Characterizations of Q-solitons on (almost) coKähler manifolds and its applications in magneto-fluid spacetimes

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields
In the present article, we introduce Q-solitons, a generalization of Riemann solitons, on (almost) coKähler manifolds (ACKM, in short). Here we obtain a necessary condition from which we establish that a compact ACKM admitting Q-soliton whose soliton ...
