The RNA-binding protein HuR is required for maintenance of the germinal centre response

open access: yesNature Communications, 2021
Germinal centre (GC) responses may require RNA binding proteins (RBP) for post-transcriptional gene regulation. Here the authors show the RBP HuR supports GCs by promoting Myc and Myc-dependent transcription to enhance antigen-specific GC B cell ...

A Theoretical Framework of Robust H-Infinity Unscented Kalman Filter and Its Application to Power System Dynamic State Estimation

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, 2019
This paper presents a new theoretical framework that, by integrating robust statistics and robust control theory, allows us to develop a robust dynamic state estimator of a cyber-physical system.

Asymptotic symmetries of electromagnetism at spatial infinity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
A bstractWe analyse the asymptotic symmetries of Maxwell theory at spatial infinity through the Hamiltonian formalism. Precise, consistent boundary conditions are explicitly given and shown to be invariant under asymptotic angle-dependent u(1)-gauge ...

The boundary at infinity of the curve complex and the relative Teichmüller space [PDF]

open access: yesGroups, Geometry, and Dynamics, 2018
In this paper we study the boundary at infinity of the curve complex $\mathcal{C}(S)$ of a surface $S$ of finite type and the relative Teichm\"{u}ller space $\mathcal{T}_{el}(S)$ obtained from the Teichm\"{u}ller space by collapsing each region where a ...

On Randomness and Infinity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
In this paper, we investigate refined definitions of random sequences. Classical definitions have always the shortcome of making use of the notion of an algorithm. We discuss the nature of randomness and different ways of obtaining satisfactory definitions of randomness after reviewing previous attempts at producing a non-algorithmical definition.

MEMS Inertial Switch for Military Applications

open access: yesProceedings, 2017
We developed a MEMS inertial switch (hereafter, the switch) for an ignition system of missiles. The developed switch consists of four folded beams and a plate suspended by the beams, analogous to a well-known spring-mass system.

COUNTING TO INFINITY: GRADED MODAL LOGIC WITH AN INFINITY DIAMOND

open access: yesThe Review of Symbolic Logic, 2022
AbstractWe extend the languages of both basic and graded modal logic with the infinity diamond, a modality that expresses the existence of infinitely many successors having a certain property. In both cases we define a natural notion of bisimilarity for the resulting formalisms, that we dub $\mathtt {ML}^{\infty }$ and $\mathtt {GML}^{\infty ...

COMIX: Generalized Conflict Management in O-RAN xApps—Architecture, Workflow, and a Power Control Case

open access: yesIEEE Access
Open Radio Access Network (O-RAN) is transforming the telecommunications landscape by enabling flexible, intelligent, and multi-vendor networks. Central to its architecture are xApps hosted on the Near-Real-Time RAN Intelligent Controller (Near-RT RIC ...

The BMS4 algebra at spatial infinity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We show how a global BMS4 algebra appears as part of the asymptotic symmetry algebra at spatial infinity. Using linearised theory, we then show that this global BMS4 algebra is the one introduced by Strominger as a symmetry of the S-matrix.

Conservation of asymptotic charges from past to future null infinity: Maxwell fields [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
On any asymptotically-flat spacetime, we show that the asymptotic symmetries and charges of Maxwell fields on past null infinity can be related to those on future null infinity as recently proposed by Strominger.
