Hybrid inflation followed by modular inflation
Inflationary models with a superheavy scale F-term hybrid inflation followed by an intermediate scale modular inflation are considered. The restrictions on the power spectrum P_R of curvature perturbation and the spectral index n_s from the recent data ...

Permanent and transitory policy shocks in an empirical macro model with asymmetric information [PDF]
Despite a large literature documenting that the efficacy of monetary policy depends on how inflation expectations are anchored, many monetary policy models assume: (1) the inflation target of monetary policy is constant; and, (2) the inflation target is ...

Pressure‐Induced Capacity Recovery and Performance Enhancements in LTO/NMC‐LCO Batteries
This work explores the effects of different pressurization methods on prismatic industrial‐grade high‐power lithium titanate oxide (LTO) batteries, both on pristine and aged cells. Continuously applied pressure of 0.3 MPa reduces capacity loss by 42% compared to unpressurized aged cells.

In Yellowstone Lake, Wyoming, lake trout carcasses are used to suppress invasive lake trout embryos in an effort to conserve native Yellowstone cutthroat trout. Using a field experiment, we determined that carcass treatment had limited, non‐target effects on benthic invertebrates.

The Gravitational Wave Spectrum of Chain Inflation [PDF]
Chain inflation is an alternative to slow-roll inflation in which the inflaton tunnels along a large number of consecutive minima in its potential. In this work we perform the first comprehensive calculation of the gravitational wave spectrum of chain inflation.

Does talk matter after all? Inflation targeting and central bank behavior [PDF]
Since 1990, a number of countries have adopted inflation targeting as their declared monetary strategy. Interpretations of the significance of this movement, however, have differed widely.

This study presents a custom‐made soft pneumatic device (SPD) that mimics complex mechanical forces and fluid flow to enhance in vitro cell differentiation. It shows that low mechanotransduction promotes MSC differentiation into osteoprogenitor cells, while high mechanotransduction causes structural disruptions and cell detachment, providing new ...

Economic feasibility of fish cage culture in Lake Victoria, Kenya
The study analyzed the economic viability of cage fish culture in Lake Victoria, Kenya through analysis of input‐output relationship and profitability. The study revealed that cage fish farming in the lake is profitable and worthwhile. Abstract Fish cage culture has rapidly grown throughout Lake Victoria's shores, with Nile tilapia (Oreochromis ...

We consider an inflationary universe scenario with multiple stages of inflation. The primary inflation, which may start at the Planck epoch, is followed by secondary inflations, which include the cosmological inflation that causes the primordial density fluctuations of our universe.
