Optimal Inflation and the Identification of the Phillips Curve

open access: yesNBER macroeconomics annual, 2018
Several academics and practitioners have pointed out that inflation follows a seemingly exogenous statistical process, unrelated to the output gap, leading some to argue that the Phillips curve has weakened or disappeared.

Single field double inflation and primordial black holes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Within the framework of scalar-tensor theories, we study the conditions that allow single field inflation dynamics on small cosmological scales to significantly differ from that of the large scales probed by the observations of cosmic microwave ...

Ultrasoft Iontronics: Stretchable Diodes Enabled by Ionically Conductive Bottlebrush Elastomers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work introduces a solvent‐free, ultrasoft, and stretchable ionic diode based on oppositely charged bottlebrush elastomers (BBEs). The BBE diode exhibits an ultralow Young's modulus (<23 kPa), a high rectification ratio of 46, and stretchability over 400%.

How Does Consumption Respond to News About Inflation? Field Evidence from a Randomized Control Trial

open access: yesAEA Randomized Controlled Trials, 2019
We implement a survey of Dutch households in which random subsets of respondents receive information about inflation. The resulting exogenously generated variation in inflation expectations is used to assess how expectations affect consumption decisions.

Scalable Perovskite Quantum Dot Glass Nanocomposites for High‐Efficiency Luminescent Solar Concentrators

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study evaluates the scalability of PQD GNC‐based LSCs for BIPV applications. Experimental data and Monte Carlo simulations predict performance up to 1 m2, achieving a peak power conversion efficiency of 3.17%. The results confirm the viability of these LSCs for energy‐efficient building applications.

Forecasting Output and Inflation: The Role of Asset Prices

open access: yes, 2001
This paper examines old and new evidence on the predictive performance of asset prices for inflation and real output growth. We first review the large literature on this topic, focusing on the past dozen years.

Bioengineering Strategies for Treating Neointimal Hyperplasia in Peripheral Vasculature: Innovations and Challenges

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, Volume 14, Issue 7, March 14, 2025.
This review highlights emerging bioengineering strategies for treating neointimal hyperplasia in the peripheral vasculature, focusing on approaches that promote re‐endothelialization, modulate smooth muscle cell phenotype, reduce inflammation, mitigate oxidative stress, and optimize biomechanical compliance.

Evaluating core inflation measures: A statistical inference approach

open access: yesLatin American Journal of Central Banking, 2023
We propose a framework for consistently evaluating core inflation measures via a straightforward application of sound statistical inference principles. Under this framework, inflation measures (both headline and core) are regarded as estimators tracking ...

Inflation and Trading

open access: yesSSRN Electronic Journal
We study how investors respond to inflation combining a customized survey experiment with trading data at a time of historically high inflation. Investors' beliefs about the stock return-inflation relation are very heterogeneous in the cross section and on average too optimistic.

WMAP and inflation

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2003
We assay how inflationary models whose properties are dominated by the dynamics of a single scalar field are constrained by cosmic microwave background (CMB) data from the Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe (WMAP). We classify inflationary models in a plane defined by the horizon-flow parameters.
