A Microfiber‐Reinforced Janus Hydrogel E‐Skin With Recyclable Feature for Multimodal Sensing and Gender‐Specific Physiological Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Hydrogel‐based wearable electronics hold great promise for physiological monitoring in privacy‐sensitive regions. In this study, a polyurethane (PU) microfiber‐reinforced gelatin hydrogel e‐skin is developed, boasting multiple advantages such as ultra‐thinness, high toughness, and long‐term skin conformability.

Anchors for Inflation Expectations [PDF]

open access: yes
We identify credible monetary policy with first, a disconnect between inflation and inflation expectations and second, the anchoring of the latter at the inflation target announced by the monetary authorities. We test empirically whether this is the case

Monolithic 3D Printing of Origami‐Inspired Soft Robotics from Sustainable Bio‐Based Resin

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work develops a photocurable, bio‐based resin from soybean oil for the monolithic fabrication of sustainable soft robots via Digital Light Processing. An origami‐inspired, vacuum‐actuated soft gripper is designed and fabricated, enabling reliable operation despite the material's lower elongation.

Forward Interest Rates as Indicators of Inflation Expectations [PDF]

open access: yes
Forward interest rates have become popular indicators of inflation expectations. The usefulness of this indicator depends on the relative volatilty and the correlation of inflation expectations and expected real interest rates.

A Laminating Strategy to Manyfold Enhance the Elastic Stretchability of Stretchable Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We propose a laminating strategy that laminates a thick‐polymer layer onto the thin‐ribbon metallic structure. Using serpentine structures on soft and hard substrates as representative cases, this approach increases elastic stretchability by 3.5‐fold and 2.3‐fold.

Are Inflation Expectations Rational? [PDF]

open access: yes
Several recent papers report evidence of an apparent statistical bias in inflation expectations and interpret these findings as overturning the rational expectations hypothesis. In this paper, we investigate the validity of such an interpretation.

Laser‐Architected Shape‐Configurable Vertical Graphene Thermoacoustic Loudspeakers for 3D Acoustic Emission

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A dual‐laser‐architected vertical graphene film enables high‐performance, morphologically reconfigurable thermoacoustic loudspeakers. The vertically aligned graphene structures combine efficient heat dissipation, thickness‐independent SPL, and kirigami‐driven 3D transformations, offering shape‐programmable, stretchable, and omnidirectional acoustic ...
