Ovarian Cancer Diagnosis and Chemoresistance Prediction Model Based on cfRNA Molecular Signature
A deep learning model analyzes cfRNA profiles extracted from the blood of OVCA patients. This innovative approach distinguishes OVCA from healthy controls with high accuracy. Crucially, it reliably predicts patient response to chemotherapy (sensitive versus resistant subgroups).

A Smart Fluid‐Hydraulic System Based on MRF Valve Control and Its Application in Flexible Grasping
This study introduces a smart fluid hydraulic system using MRF valve control for flexible gripping. An MRF‐MSV with an integrated excitation coil and micro‐textured damping channels is designed and validated; micro‐texturing increases hydraulic resistance. Coupled with a soft actuator, the MRF‐MSV enables dynamic bending and grasping.

Consumer inflation expectations Survey questions and quantification methods – the case of Poland [PDF]
Qualitative data on inflation perceptions and expectations, as obtained from surveys, can be quantified into numerical indicators of the perceived and expected rates of price change.

Autonomous laboratories can now synthesize materials faster than experts can interpret the resulting diffraction data. A probabilistic framework combines refinement‐fit metrics with large language model‐derived chemical reasoning to rank competing phase interpretations and flag those unsuitable for autonomous use.

Survey measures of expected inflation and the inflation process [PDF]
This paper uses data from surveys of expected inflation to learn how the expectations formation processes of households and professionals have changed following a change in the inflation process in the early part of this decade.

Hamaker Constants of van der Waals Materials under Clean‐Interface Conditions
Clean‐interface adhesion in representative van der Waals materials is quantified by Ultra High Vacuum (UHV) Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) with in situ cleaning and calibrated probes. Benchmark Hamaker constants for graphene, MoS2, and SiO2 are established, while humidity is shown to reversibly amplify adhesion, explaining much of the scatter in ...

The concept of high‐dimensional EM modulation using the STMA for physical layer secure communication is illustrated in figure. The STMA consists of a series of programmable unit cells, with 1‐bit reconfigurable phase states (0/π). The STMA is excited by a monochromatic continuous wave (CW) at frequency fc and controlled by a field‐programmable gate ...

Inflation Expectations of Japanese Households: Micro Evidence from a Consumer Confidence Survey [PDF]
Economists unanimously agree that economic agents’ expectations are crucially important in determining macroeconomic outcomes. However, mainstream macroeconomists usually simply assume that expectations are rational, leaving unexamined the fundamental ...
