From personal and interpersonal influence to impersonal influence - A role for media in relationship management [PDF]
This chapter introduces a model depicting how the impersonal influence of mass media plays a central role in the symmetrical relationship maintenance strategy of legitimacy.

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.

Protein aggregates threaten proteostasis and cell health. In human cells, Hsp70–J‐domain protein‐based disaggregases remove aggregates, but how they assemble remains unclear. Our biochemical findings show that DNAJA2‐ and DNAJB1‐containing disaggregase scaffolds enhance luciferase aggregate targeting, and that Hsp70 recruitment by both J‐domain ...

Innovative Branding - The Influence of an influencer
“The way to gain a good reputation is to endeavor to be what you desire to appear.” Socrates, 470 BC-399 BC (Brønn and Ihlen, 2009). This case is an illustration on how businesses are using influencers and ambassadors as lead users, both in the way they communicate and the way they develop their products and business for the future. The influence of an

Influence properties of partial squares regression. [PDF]
In this paper, we compute the influence function for partial least squares regression. Thereunto, we design two alternative algorithms, according to the PLS algorithm used.

Reconstructing enzyme evolution by protein engineering
Natural enzyme evolution can be retraced by protein engineering methods such as directed evolution, rational design, and ancestral sequence reconstruction. These approaches reveal how enzymes emerged from ligand‐binding scaffolds, developed varying substrate preferences, formed oligomeric complexes, adapted to environmental changes, and evolved novel ...

Influence of observations on the misclassification probability in quadratic discriminant analysis. [PDF]
In this paper it is analyzed how observations in the training sample affect the misclassification probability of a quadratic discriminant rule. An approach based on partial influence functions is followed. It allows to quantify the effect of observations

Cancer progression is regulated by the dynamic matrix code of the tumor microenvironment, which influences cellular behavior and disease development. Importantly, matrix remodeling in three‐dimensional cancer models more accurately reflects in vivo conditions compared to conventional two‐dimensional systems.
