RNF213 Is an Interferon‐Stimulated Gene That Targets Influenza A Virus NP and Activates MDA5 to Restrict Infection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
RNF213 is characterized as a dual‐functional antiviral effector. It directly mediates the degradation of the influenza A virus nucleoprotein (NP) while simultaneously activating the MDA5‐mediated innate immune signaling pathway. This coordinated response establishes a powerful host defense system against viral infection. ABSTRACT Influenza A virus (IAV)

LMO7 Suppresses Tumor‐Associated Macrophage Phagocytosis of Tumor Cells Through Degradation of LRP1

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
LMO7 in tumor‐associated macrophages suppresses phagocytosis of tumor cells and limits cytotoxic T lymphocytes infiltration, fostering tumor progression. Mechanistically, LMO7 mediates the ubiquitination and degradation of the phagocytic receptor LRP1, impairing its ability to engulf tumor cells and driving macrophages toward an antitumor phenotype ...

Marburg Virus Glycoprotein Is a Remarkable Virulent Factor Linked to Hemorrhagic Pathology: Evidence from Multimodal Experimental Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By integrating data from in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo models, our research identifies the MARV glycoprotein as a remarkable hemorrhagic factor, filling a major gap in this important field. It also provides practical experimental tools for the basic research on viral pathogenesis and applied research aimed at antiviral intervention for hemorrhagic ...

Consensus statements for influenza awareness, prevention, and vaccination in Pakistan

open access: yesJournal of Infection in Developing Countries
Introduction: Influenza is a serious underestimated viral infection in Pakistan and influenza vaccination and vaccination awareness are low. The current work aimed to develop consensus on influenza epidemiology, prevention, vaccination, and awareness in

Pandemic Influenza Vaccines [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Since their compositions remain uncertain, universal pandemic vaccines are yet to be created. They would aim to protect globally against pandemic influenza viruses that have not yet evolved. Thus they differ from seasonal vaccines to influenza virus, which are updated annually in spring to incorporate the latest circulating viruses, and are then ...

NIBV Induces Incomplete Autophagy via AMPK‐TFEB, Causing Kidney Injury in Chicks

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that NIBV can inhibit the nuclear translocation of TFEB by suppressing the expression of AMPK, leading to the blockade of autophagolysosomal functions, in turn increasing NIBV replication and triggering severe kidney injury in chicks.

Cuproptosis and Disulfidptosis Converge to Empower PD‐L1 Checkpoint Therapy via Cadict‐Induced PD‐L1 Translation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study introduces Cadict, an EGFR‐targeted nanodrug that co‐delivers cuproptosis and disulfidptosis inducers to overcome immune resistance. Cadict synergistically enhances tumor cytotoxicity and sensitizes cancers to ICIs by upregulating PD‐L1 via an Eif5b‐dependent translation mechanism, fostering a potent antitumor immune response and ...
