Game Information Dynamics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
This paper is concerned with game information dynamics. Information and information kinetic energy are derived using existing models. Based on Einstein's special relativity theory, it is suggested that when the velocity of information particles is slightly smaller than the speed of light, our mental concentration increases enormously.

Dynamics of Information as Natural Computation

open access: yesInformation, 2011
Processes considered rendering information dynamics have been studied, among others in: questions and answers, observations, communication, learning, belief revision, logical inference, game-theoretic interactions and computation.

Algorithmic Information Dynamics

open access: yesScholarpedia, 2020
Algorithmic Information Dynamics (AID) is an algorithmic probabilistic framework for causal discovery and causal analysis. It enables a numerical solution to inverse problems based or motivated on principles of algorithmic probability. AID studies dynamical systems in software space where all possible computable models can be found or approximated ...

Tropical Cyclone Winds Retrieved From Synthetic Aperture Radar [PDF]

open access: yesOceanography, 2013
This paper describes algorithms used to retrieve high-resolution wind fields in tropical cyclone conditions from synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data acquired at C-band with either co-polarization or cross-polarization.

Contributions to the 2021 IS4SI Summit from the 13th International Workshop on Natural Computing (IWNC)

open access: yesProceedings, 2022
This is an outline of contributions from the 13th International Workshop on Natural Computing (IWNC), which was one of the ten conferences of the 2021 Summit of the International Society for the Study of Information held online on 12–19 September 2021 ...

Dynamic Information Design [PDF]

open access: yesSSRN Electronic Journal, 2020
We consider the problem of dynamic information design with one sender and one receiver where the sender observers a private state of the system and takes an action to send a signal based on its observation to a receiver. Based on this signal, the receiver takes an action that determines rewards for both the sender and the receiver and controls the ...

The Dynamics of Informal Employment [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Finance Discussion Papers, 2000
The informal sector, which produces legal goods but does not comply with government regulations, is a functioning part of all economies, with a proportion of the labor force ranging from 17 percent in OECD countries to 60 percent in developing countries. Using a dynamic model that includes an informal sector, this paper illustrates the natural dynamics

Multiscale Information Propagation in Emergent Functional Networks

open access: yesEntropy, 2021
Complex biological systems consist of large numbers of interconnected units, characterized by emergent properties such as collective computation. In spite of all the progress in the last decade, we still lack a deep understanding of how these properties ...

Information Dynamics in Urban Crime. [PDF]

open access: yesEntropy (Basel), 2018
Information production in both space and time has been highlighted as one of the elements that shapes the footprint of complexity in natural and socio-technical systems. However, information production in urban crime has barely been studied.

Information Decomposition in Bivariate Systems: Theory and Application to Cardiorespiratory Dynamics

open access: yesEntropy, 2015
In the framework of information dynamics, the temporal evolution of coupled systems can be studied by decomposing the predictive information about an assigned target system into amounts quantifying the information stored inside the system and the ...
