Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Linear quadratic optimal controller design under information rate constraints

open access: yes, 2016
In this paper, information theory for studying linear quadratic (LQ) optimal control of linear continuous time invariant systems is developed using control-theoretic approach.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Interest rate swaps and economic exposure [PDF]

open access: yes
The interest rate swap market has grown rapidly. Since the inception of the swap market in 1981, the outstanding notional principal of interest rate swaps has reached a level of $12.81 trillion in 1995.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Information Inflow and its Impact on Foreign Exchange Rate Volatility

open access: yes, 2006
Information flowed into foreign exchange market must have some effect on foreign exchange rate if market is efficient. In this paper, we inquire into the relations between information inflow and foreign exchange rate volatility with Ultra High Frequency ...

The human gut microbiome across the life course

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Information Freshness and Packet Drop Rate Interplay in a Two-User Multi-Access Channel

open access: yes, 2021
In this work, we combine the two notions of timely delivery of information to study their interplay; namely, deadline-constrained packet delivery due to latency constraints and freshness of information.

Rate-Distortion Region of a Gray–Wyner Model with Side Information

open access: yesEntropy, 2017
In this work, we establish a full single-letter characterization of the rate-distortion region of an instance of the Gray–Wyner model with side information at the decoders.
