In the present work, we have identified a transcriptional signature based on the differential expression of six genes (BCL2&MAST4, HSH2D&LAT2, METRN&PITPNM2) that would facilitate the early detection of T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) patients prone to a poor treatment response and could be implemented at diagnosis, along with other risk ...

Improved Rate Control Using Statistical Information in Unit-Layer for H.264/AVC
The purpose of this paper is to improve allocation of the number of bits by estimating the target bits in H.264/AVC rate control. In the scheme,an enhancement method of the target unit-layer bit allocation is proposed, which uses a frame and unit ...

Observability and Information Bounds in UUV Relative Navigation from Range-Rate
In this paper, we investigate the relative navigation of two underwater vehicles in a leader–follower configuration when the only available inter-vehicle acoustic measurement is Doppler-derived range-rate, i.e., the rate of change in range, with no ...

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Continuous respiratory rate (RR) monitoring can improve the detection of clinical events, such as pulmonary infections, cardiac arrests, and sleep apnoea. Wi-Fi-based systems offer a low-cost, contactless alternative to radar and video. However, existing

E2A selectively regulates TGF‐β–induced apoptosis in KRAS‐mutant non‐small cell lung cancer
Ability to induce apoptosis by TGF‐β is frequently lost in advanced lung adenocarcinoma despite intact TGF‐β signaling. We identify E2A as a mutant KRAS–dependent mediator of resistance to TGF‐β–induced apoptosis. TGF‐β induces E2A via SMAD3 in mutant KRAS cells, and E2A silencing restores apoptosis and enhances radiation response in cell lines ...

Using Spatial Analysis to Study the Values of Variable Rate Technology and Information
We present a review of the last few years' literature on the economic feasibility of variable rate technology in agriculture. Much of the research on this topic has involved the estimation of site-specific yield response functions.

Evaluating the Information Content and Money Making Ability of Forecasts from Exchange Rate Equations [PDF]
This paper evaluates a particular set of equations for the dollar/yen and dollar/mark exchange rates. The forecasts from the equations dominate both forecasts from the random walk model and forecasts using the forward rate.

Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.
