Building a Culture of Voice and Agency for Aboriginal Children in Out‐of‐Home Care: A Review of Policy in New South Wales and Victoria

open access: yesAustralian Journal of Social Issues, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aboriginal children and young people in out‐of‐home care (OOHC), like all children and young people, have a fundamental right to be involved in decisions that affect them, to be afforded the opportunity for a voice, and to have that voice taken seriously.

Recoverable Fluorination Accelerates Ring‐Opening Copolymerisation and Enables Post‐Polymerisation‐Modification of Polyesters

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A fluorinated polyester is introduced via ring‐opening copolymerisation of pentafluorostyrene oxide and phthalic anhydride. Pendant C6F5 groups accelerate catalysis through fluorine‐specific interactions, enabling access to high‐molecular‐weight materials. These groups serve as reactive handles for efficient post‐polymerisation and surface modification,

Machine Learning‐Enhanced Clinical Decision Support for Diagnosing Sinusitis With Nasal Endoscopy

open access: yesInternational Forum of Allergy &Rhinology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Sinusitis is a prevalent disease for which nasal endoscopy (NE) is an optimal diagnostic modality. However, NE accuracy is limited by inter‐operator variability in landmark identification and localization of mucus that is necessary for sinusitis diagnosis. We sought to develop a novel multi‐class machine learning (ML) framework that

Incidence and Prevalence of Congenital Myopathies ‐ A Population‐Based Study From Western Sweden

open access: yesAnnals of Neurology, EarlyView.
Objective Congenital myopathies are a group of rare genetic muscle disorders. Previous studies have estimated point prevalences which only include surviving individuals. Our aim was to perform an epidemiological study with strict inclusion criteria, using modern diagnostic technology to present both incidences and prevalences, and to describe the ...

Defluoroalkylation of Trifluoromethane with Organolithium Reagents: Mechanism and Synthesis of Fluoroalkenes

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
We report a rare example of the transformation of HCF3 into a fluoroalkene functional group through defluoroalkylation. We rationalise product formation through DFT calculations, scale‐up the synthesis through continuous flow methods, and show that a fluoroalkene reagent derived from HCF3 is a competent nucleophile for the fluoroethenylation of a range
