We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Transferring information between information systems
This paper discusses the challenges in implementing an interorganisational information system especially in the context of several stakeholders representing different organisations that participate in the development project. When information is transferred between organisations, its quality should be carefully considered.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Information Transfer to a Hand-Held Container Using Virtual Vibrotactile Motion
The present study proposes a novel method to provide information via a hand-held container, such as a cup, to a user’s hand, using virtual vibrotactile motion. Although container information can be conveyed visually or auditorily, these modalities

A tripartite system with entangled non-orthogonal states is used to transfer retrievable or usable information without requiring an external channel, ipso-information-transfer (IIT). The non-Schmidt decomposable entanglement couples two independent interactions through which the information is transferred between a pair of non-interacting components of

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Rainfall Network Optimization Using Radar and Entropy
In this study, a method combining radar and entropy was proposed to design a rainfall network. Owing to the shortage of rain gauges in mountain areas, weather radars are used to measure rainfall over catchments. The major advantage of radar is that it is
