Highly‐Conductive Mixed PEO/PAN‐Based Membranes for Solid State Li‐Ion Batteries via Electro‐Spinning and Hot‐Press Synthesis Routes

open access: yesZeitschrift für anorganische und allgemeine Chemie, Volume 652, Issue 2, 5 February 2026.
Powder diffraction pattern of hot‐pressed polythylene oxide/ polyacrylonitrile polymerelectrolyte composites. Polyethylene oxide (PEO)‐based solid polymer electrolytes (SPEs) have been extensively studied for all solid‐state batteries (ASSBs) but still suffer from low thermal stability and ionic conductivity.

Infra-red microspectroscopy

Spectrochimica Acta, 1950
A discussion of the performance characteristics of an infra-red microspectrometer is given in terms of the cross-sectional area and minimum volume, V, which can be observed with satisfactory signal-to-noise ratio. Methods of increasing the ratio of measured absorption to spectrometer noise are discussed and five ways are enumerated.

An Infra-Red Pupillometer

Journal of the Optical Society of America, 1948
A pupillometer for measuring pupil diameters in total visual darkness has been constructed. It consists of an infra-red electron telescope arranged to observe the eye from a distance of about six inches. An attached light source irradiates the eye with invisible infra-red radiation.

Infra-red Therapy

Physiotherapy, 1991
Summary Infra-red therapy has been used in clinical practice for a considerable period of time; there are, however, a limited number of studies which evaluate the efficacy of this modality in the management of clinical conditions. This review considers the physical behaviour, physiological effects, the efficacy and hazards of infra-red therapy.

Infra-red radiometer

Journal of Scientific Instruments, 1963
A radiometer, to integrate high intensity infra-red radiation throughout a hemisphere, is described. It consists of a hemispherical black-body receiver, with an attached thermocouple. The receiver is supported with a mica ring and mounted in a recess of a water-cooled brass cylinder. The radiometer has a time constant of eight seconds and a sensitivity
