Steric Coordination Modulated Iodine Chemistry With Four‐Electron Conversion for Zinc‐Iodine Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A dual‐additive electrolyte strategy is developed to address the hydrolysis of I+ in the aqueous electrolytes. The steric‐hindrance effect of TES− effectively shields I+ from nucleophilic attacks by hydroxyl groups, facilitating the reversible I−/I0/I+ conversion with four‐electron transfer.

The ALMA Survey of 70 μm Dark High-mass Clumps in Early Stages (ASHES). XI. Statistical Study of Early Fragmentation

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Fragmentation during the early stages of high-mass star formation is crucial for understanding the formation of high-mass clusters. We investigated fragmentation within 39 high-mass star-forming clumps as part of the Atacama Large Millimeter ...

Surface‐Ligand‐Dependent Excited‐State Dynamics in Aqueous CuInSe2/ZnS Quantum Dot–Chlorophyll Assemblies

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
CuInSe2/ZnS quantum dots are synthesized in water and coupled with chlorophyll to probe ligand‐controlled excited‐state interactions. Broad visible–NIR emission and high PLQY are observed. Time‐resolved measurements reveal shortened chlorophyll lifetimes, indicating dynamic quenching via Förster energy and/or charge transfer, highlighting surface ...

Widespread SiO and CH3OH emission in filamentary infrared dark clouds [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Infrared dark clouds (IRDCs) are cold, dense regions of high (optical and infrared) extinction, believed to be the birthplace of high-mass stars and stellar clusters.

Gas Dynamics and Magnetic Fields in Infrared Dark Clouds

open access: yes, 2016
Almost two decades ago, the discovery of a handful of Infrared Dark Clouds (IRDCs) heralded a new avenue for exploring the elusive early phases of massive star formation (Egan et al. 1998).

Chemically Doped Conductive Polymers for Wearable Health Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Among conductive polymers, poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS), polyaniline (PANI), and polypyrrole (PPy) are the most studied and applied. Chemical doping significantly boosts intrinsic conductivity and mechanical robustness.

The SPHEREx Ices Investigation: An Overview

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
SPHEREx is a NASA mission designed to perform an all-sky spectroscopic survey in the 0.75–5 μ m wavelength range. Its primary science objectives are to investigate: (1) inflationary cosmology; (2) the history of galaxy formation; and (3) the abundance of

Infrared polarimetry in the Chamaeleon I dark cloud [PDF]

open access: yesMonthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, 1994
Position angles and magnitudes of linear polarization in the H band have been measured for 66 stars embedded in or behind the Chamaeleon I dark cloud. These data are used to demonstrate that the magnetic field permeating the cloud has an ordered structure over the full extent of the dark cloud (∼4 pc), with the magnetic field direction changing ...

Multi‐Enzyme Mimetic Molybdenum Nitride Nanozymes Reshape Subgingival Microenvironment for Synergistic Periodontitis Therapy via ROS Regulation and Microbiome Remodeling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Periodontitis, a chronic inflammatory disease initiated and sustained by plaque microorganisms and host immune response, remains an intractable oral disease and a leading cause of tooth loss worldwide. Traditional mechanical debridement and adjunctive antibiotic or antiseptic therapy often shows limited efficacy due to the complex anatomical ...
