High-dynamic-range extinction mapping of infrared dark clouds
Context. Measuring the mass distribution of infrared dark clouds (IRDCs) over the wide dynamic range of their column densities is a fundamental obstacle in determining the initial conditions of high-mass star formation and star ...

The Galactic Distribution of Infrared Dark Clouds
CS (2-1) measurements toward a large sample of fourth Galactic quadrant infrared dark clouds (IRDCs) were made with the Australia Telescope National Facility Mopra telescope in order to establish their kinematic distances and Galactic distribution. Due to its large critical density, CS unambiguously separates the dense IRDCs from more diffuse giant ...

Nanocellulose, derived from microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) through sulfuric acid hydrolysis or mechanical grinding to produce CNC or CNF, was tested in a rat ICP model. Particularly, CNF improved gut microbiota composition, reduced secondary bile acid metabolism, and restored bile acid homeostasis through modulation of the gut–liver axis.

HOW MANY INFRARED DARK CLOUDS CAN FORM MASSIVE STARS AND CLUSTERS? [PDF]
We present a new assessment of the ability of Infrared Dark Clouds (IRDCs) to form massive stars and clusters. This is done by comparison with an empirical mass-size threshold for massive star formation (MSF).

ABSTRACT Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) can be transformed into hydrogen (H2) through several chemical and catalytic processes, offering a promising route for both waste treatment and clean H2 production. This colorless, flammable, and toxic gas is found abundantly in swamps, volcanoes, hot springs, sewages, other natural gas fields, and even in refineries and

Searching for Dark Galaxies with H I Detection from the Arecibo Legacy Fast ALFA (ALFALFA) Survey
We present a catalog of 142 dark galaxy candidates in a region covered by the Arecibo Legacy Fast ALFA (ALFALFA) survey. We start with 344 ALFALFA H i sources without optical counterparts and remove those that do not seem to have a dark galaxy origin. To

We present dynamical properties of 294 cores embedded in twelve IRDCs observed as part of the ASHES Survey. Protostellar cores have higher gas masses, surface densities, column densities, and volume densities than prestellar cores, indicating core mass ...

Fire from Ice - Massive Star Birth from Infrared Dark Clouds
I review massive star formation in our Galaxy, focussing on initial conditions in Infrared Dark Clouds (IRDCs), including the search for massive pre-stellar cores (PSCs), and modeling of later stages of massive protostars, i.e., hot molecular cores (HMCs)

Increasing nanocurvature effectively enriches the local electron density of the M–N4 motif, which facilitates electron transfer from the metal center to nitrogen atoms. This electronic behavior intensifies the localization and asymmetric distribution of charge, thereby significantly amplifying the dipole moment and polarizability.
