Methane photocatalytic activation under mild conditions remains a formidable challenge in the synthesis of solar fuels. In this review, we emphasize the growing importance of multifunctional materials and hybrid systems within a unified mechanistic framework that integrates selective C─H bond activation, formation and control of intermediates, C─C ...

EXCESS MID-INFRARED FLUX: AN INDICATOR OF MASS LOSS IN CEPHEIDS? [PDF]
Spectral energy distributions for 132 classical and type II Cepheids were searched for evidence of excess flux above the photospheric level in the mid-infrared.

Charge Generation and Recombination Pathways in All‐Polymer Bulk Heterojunction Solar Cells
Multimodal spectroscopy and device analysis reveal how field‐dependent charge generation, transport limitations, and non‐geminate recombination govern performance losses in all polymer solar cells. The results identify the key processes controlling charge extraction and recombination, providing insights for the design of more efficient all‐polymer ...

In this work, diamonds with negative charged silicon‐vacancy (SiV−) centers have been designed for use as thermometers in biomedical applications. Multiparametric analysis of the emission characteristics of the SiV− centers provides extraordinary sensitivity for temperature detection in the physiological temperature range.

A High-resolution Far-infrared Survey to Probe Black Hole–Galaxy Co-evolution
Far-infrared (FIR) surveys are critical to probing the co-evolution of black holes and galaxies, since of the order of half the light from accreting black holes and active star formation is emitted in the rest-frame IR over 0.5 ≲ z ≲ 10.

A polymerizable deep eutectic solvent is reinforced with tannic acid‐modified cellulose nanofibers to construct a hierarchical dynamic eutectogel network. Synergistic covalent and reversible interactions impart ultrahigh stretchability, high ionic conductivity, broad temperature tolerance, self‐healing, and strong adhesion, enabling robust wearable ...

Catalytically Enhanced Near Room‐Temperature Hydrogen Sensing Using Pd‐ZnO Colloidal Crystals
Pd‐decorated ZnO colloidal crystal monolayers demonstrate excellent performance across a wide hydrogen concentration range at 33°C, with high selectivity and reproducible device fabrication. The sensors show strong responses even at low‐ppm H2 concentrations and an ultra‐low detection limit of 82 ppb, indicating their suitability for diverse hydrogen ...
