Terawatt-class femtosecond long-wave infrared laser
We utilized a nonlinear post-compression technique to generate 675-fs, 9.2-μm CO2 laser pulses with a peak power of 1.6 TW. This achievement represents the highest peak power ever attained in the femtosecond pulse format within the long-wave infrared ...

Sub-60-fs Timing Jitter of a SESAM Modelocked VECSEL
We present noise measurements of a pulse train emitted from an actively stabilized semiconductor-saturable-absorber-mirror (SESAM) modelocked vertical external cavity surface emitting laser (VECSEL).

We propose a suture‐complementary approach that integrates optical skin clearing with a strain‐programmable luminescent adhesive patch. Hyaluronic acid promotes transdermal delivery of tartrazine to improve optical clearing and stabilizes its interaction with a photosensitizer. Optical clearing increases the penetration depth of visible light into skin,

Spin Injection Of Exciton–Polaritons With Halide Perovskites At Room Temperature
A monolithic Tamm‐plasmon microcavity embedding a two‐dimensional halide perovskite enables room‐temperature spin injection of exciton‐polaritons under quasi‐resonant optical excitation. Polarization‐resolved spectroscopy reveals partial preservation of the injected spin in the lower polariton branch, while bare excitons remain fully depolarized.

High-Peak-Power Acousto-Optically Q-Switched Er:Y2O3 Ceramic Laser at ∼2.7 μm
We report on a high-peak-power acousto-optically Q-switched Er:Y2O3 ceramic laser operating at room temperature. Stable pulses with a duration of 41–190 ns (FWHM) are generated at approximately 2.7 μm with the repetition rate varying from 0.

Here, we provide the reader with the current state of the art in the fabrication of high‐T2‐coherence diamond, optimized through the use of double electron–electron resonance (DEER) spectroscopy. We reveal the main as well as yet unidentified spin defects, the reduction of which is essential for reducing the spin bath and fabricating materials for ...

Low Threshold, Dual-Wavelength, Mid-Infrared Optical Parametric Oscillator
In this letter, we demonstrated a dual-wavelength (DW) mid-infrared optical parametric oscillator (OPO) that was pumped by two independent fiber lasers fixed at 1018 nm and 1080 nm, and realized phase-matched signal beam coupling by tuning ...

Sulfur‐doped graphitized carbon nanofibers act as adaptive catalyst–support platforms, enabling dynamic sulfur‐mediated reconstruction and strong metal–support interactions. This unique behavior enhances catalyst stability and controls reaction pathways, achieving highly selective urea oxidation (∼92% N2) coupled with efficient hydrogen evolution ...
