Dynamic High-Frequency Convolution for Infrared Small Target Detection

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology
Infrared small targets are typically tiny and locally salient, which belong to high-frequency components (HFCs) in images. Single-frame infrared small target (SIRST) detection is challenging, since there are many HFCs along with targets, such as bright corners, broken clouds, and other clutters.

Infrared small target detection in compressive domain

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2014
A novel approach to detect an infrared small target in the compressive domain is presented. First, the original infrared image is projected on a sensing matrix to obtain the measurement vector. Then the target and the background are recovered simultaneously from the measurements based on low‐rank and sparse matrix decomposition.

Dynamically Actuated Reconfigurable Topographical Surface Enables Active Control of Implant‐Associated Infections

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A dynamically actuated reconfigurable topographical surface (DARTS) integrates contact‐mediated bactericidal nanotopography with programmable mechanical actuation to actively disrupt bacterial biofilms. Dynamic surface reconfiguration enhances bacterial killing and suppresses implant‐associated infections in vivo, providing a new strategy for active ...

Balancing Hydrophobicity and Hydrophilicity: Dual Filler‐Engineered Proton Exchange Membranes for Durable, High‐Power Fuel Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Polarity‐matched Zr–MOFs program Nafion's nanoscale morphology during solution casting. Hydrophilic UiO‐66 preserves hydrated pathways, while hydrophobic UiO‐67 increases the proton hopping sites by densifying ionic clusters. Combining both fillers yields a membrane that delivers 176 mS cm−1 conductivity, reaches 1.46 W cm−2 under 200 kPa, and triples ...

Chitin‐Derived Carbon‐Metal Functional Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Functional carbon materials are synthesized from combination of biopolymer (chitin) and iron precursors. The resultant material exhibits superior surface area and adsorptive properties compared to carbon materials synthesized directly from pure chitin.

EFLNet: Enhancing Feature Learning for Infrared Small Target Detection [PDF]

open access: yes
Single-frame infrared small target detection is considered to be a challenging task, due to the extreme imbalance between target and background, bounding box regression is extremely sensitive to infrared small target, and target information is easy to ...

Multifunctional Neutrophil Nanovesicles Induce Remodeling of Tumor Immune Microenvironment and Synergistic Multimodal Tumor Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Schematic illustration of the engineered RN@FDT for multimodal tumor therapy. a) Fabrication of FD&DOX/TFA‐loaded RGD‐NNV (RN@FDT) and the light‐triggered disassemble of RN@FDT. b) After internalized by tumor cells, RN@FDT are disintegrated under NIR‐II laser irradiation to boost PTT and induce cell apoptosis.
