Chloroplast Stress Signals Orchestrate Epidermis‐Specific Remodeling of Mitochondria and ER Under High Light

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 18, 27 March 2026.
High light exposure triggers an epidermis‐specific remodeling of mitochondria and ER in Arabidopsis, driven by chloroplast‐derived signals. Live‐cell imaging shows that HL rapidly suppresses mitochondrial motility, followed by fusion‐driven elongation and ER cisternal expansion.

Flawed cloud architectures and the rise of decentral alternatives

open access: yesInternet Policy Review, 2013
The high degree of centralisation that characterises many cloud-based services raises a series of challenges in terms of (a) security, due to there being only a few points of failure or attack, (b) privacy, due to the users’ lack of control over the ...

Microbial regulation of global macroalgal blooms (green tides): From holobiont interactions to bloom dynamics and biogeochemistry

open access: yesLimnology and Oceanography Letters, Volume 11, Issue 2, March 2026.
Abstract Green tides caused by Ulva species have become one of the most serious marine ecological disasters, now impacting many coastal nations around the world. Although climatic and environmental drivers of these macroalgal blooms are well recognized, growing evidence identifies Ulva‐associated microbiota as potential pivotal regulators of bloom ...
