Inhalation Anesthesia or Balanced Anesthesia in Swine

Swine have been used as animal models in experimental surgeries. In order to determine possible alterations in the physiological parameters caused by inhalation anesthesia and balanced anesthesia in swine undergoing lateral thoracoscopy, 14 animals weighing 15 to 20 kg were used.  The animals were divided into two groups, group I (inhalation anesthesia)

Monitoring Injected Drug Use in Greece Through Syringe Residue Analysis: A Multicity Study Within the ESCAPE Network

A total of 2121 used syringes were analyzed in Athens, Thessaloniki, and Patras between 2022 and 2024. Distinct drug‐use patterns were observed across the three cities. Benzodiazepines, pregabalin, methadone, and fentanyl were increasingly detected in 2024.
