Nanosecond Laser‐Assisted Direct Integration of Whitlockite onto Bone Implant Surfaces for Enhanced Bone Regeneration

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
A laser‐assisted strategy enables the in situ formation of whitlockite coatings on bone implants through a magnesium calcium phosphate intermediate. This approach overcomes synthesis barriers, yielding bioactive surfaces that promote bone–implant integration and vascularization, offering a scalable route for next‐generation regenerative implants ...

Human skin‐derived micronized acellular dermal matrix modulates angiogenesis to enhance tissue reconstruction

open access: yesVIEW, EarlyView.
Angiogenesis is an essential process in tissue regeneration, as it prevents complications such as necrosis, inflammation, and fibrosis. mADM decellularized by the supercritical carbon dioxide method exhibits high preservation of the extracellular matrix and various growth factors.

DLD‐HLNP/P@IR780 for efficient lung‐parenchyma accumulation to treat idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis

open access: yesVIEW, EarlyView.
DLD‐HLNP/P@IR780 was synthesized to target to lung and treat IPF by releasing pirfenidone. It could effectively traverse pulmonary ECB and accumulate in lung parenchyma by IR780 binding to CD300LF and MRC1 which are abundantly and specifically expressed on pulmonary endothelial cell and pulmonary macrophages.

Insulinoma in a dog (Canis lupus familiaris) with concurrent non‐cardiogenic pulmonary oedema

open access: yesVeterinary Record Case Reports, EarlyView.
Abstract A 12‐year‐old, female, neutered beagle presented with hypoglycaemia, sudden‐onset non‐ambulatory tetraparesis and a single tonic‐clonic seizure. Computed tomography revealed a pancreatic nodule, consistent with an insulinoma, an enlarged hepatic lymph node and ground‐glass attenuation of the lung parenchyma, most consistent with non ...

Splenic and pancreatic abscessation with vascular abnormalities in a dog

open access: yesVeterinary Record Case Reports, EarlyView.
Abstract A 3‐year‐old male neutered Collie was presented with gastrointestinal signs, lethargy and weight loss, following a history of pancreatitis. Computed tomography revealed large, coalescing nodules in both the pancreas and spleen, and abdominal effusion. Analysis of effusion revealed degenerative neutrophils with intracellular bacteria.

Dimorphic fungal infection presenting as dysphagia in a dog

open access: yesVeterinary Record Case Reports, EarlyView.
Abstract A 3‐year‐old, female, spayed dalmatian was evaluated for a 1‐month history of dysphagia. It exhibited repeated hard swallowing with apparent pain and anxiety after eating, as well as infrequent episodes of regurgitation that were alleviated by adding water to kibble.
