Error Analysis of a Finite Difference Method on Graded Meshes for a Multiterm Time-Fractional Initial-Boundary Value Problem

Comput. Methods Appl. Math., 2020
An initial-boundary value problem, whose differential equation contains a sum of fractional time derivatives with orders between 0 and 1, is considered. Its spatial domain is ( 0 , 1 ) d {(0,1)^{d}} for some d ∈ { 1 , 2 , 3 } {d\in\{1,2,3\}} .

The Initial Boundary Value Problem for the Einstein Equations with Totally Geodesic Timelike Boundary

Communications in Mathematical Physics, 2020
We prove the well-posedness of the initial boundary value problem for the Einstein equations with sole boundary condition the requirement that the timelike boundary is totally geodesic.

Soliton generation for initial-boundary-value problems

Physical Review Letters, 1992
Summary: The solution of the initial-boundary-value problem of integrabale nonlinear evolution equations, with the spatial variable on a half-infinite line, can be reduced to the solution of a linear intregral equation. The asymptotic analysis of this equation for large \(t\) shows how the boundary conditions can generate solitons.

The initial-boundary value problem for the Schrödinger–Korteweg–de Vries system on the half-line

Communications in Contemporary Mathematics, 2019
We prove local well-posedness for the initial-boundary value problem (IBVP) associated to the Schrödinger–Korteweg–de Vries system on right and left half-lines.
