Initial-boundary value problems for multi-term time-fractional diffusion equations with positive constant coefficients [PDF]

open access: yesApplied Mathematics and Computation, 2015
In this paper, we investigate the well-posedness and the long-time asymptotic behavior for the initial-boundary value problem for multi-term time-fractional diffusion equations, where the time differentiation consists of a finite summation of Caputo derivatives with decreasing orders in (0,1) and positive constant coefficients.

Recovery problem for a singularly perturbed differential equation with an initial jump

open access: yesҚарағанды университетінің хабаршысы. Математика сериясы, 2020
The article investigates the asymptotic behavior of the solution to reconstructing the boundary conditions and the right-hand side for second-order differential equations with a small parameter at the highest derivative, which have an initial jump ...

Seabed Terrain-Aided Navigation Algorithm Based on Combining Artificial Bee Colony and Particle Swarm Optimization

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2023
Position errors of inertial navigation systems (INS) increase over time after long-term voyages of the autonomous underwater vehicle. Terrain-aided navigation (TAN) can effectively reduce the accumulated error of the INS.

Existence of positive solution to a singular second-order initial value problem with impulses

open access: yesJournal of Computational and Applied Mathematics, 2007
The authors study the existence of a positive solution to a singular second-order initial value problem with impulses. They find conditions, which guarantee the existence of at least one solution of the singular initial value problem with impulses.

Patient Activation in Childhood, Adolescent, and Young Adult Cancer Survivors: Current Insights and Implications for Survivorship Care—A Systematic Review From the e‐QuoL Project

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Patient activation—encompassing knowledge, confidence, and skills in managing individual's health—is a cornerstone of person‐centered care. However, its significance among childhood, adolescent, and young adult cancer survivors (CAYACS) remains unexplored. This article examines the application of the 13‐item Patient Activation Measure (

On the Initial-Boundary-Value Problem for the Time-Fractional Diffusion Equation on the Real Positive Semiaxis [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Differential Equations, 2015
We consider the time-fractional derivative in the Caputo sense of orderα∈(0, 1). Taking into account the asymptotic behavior and the existence of bounds for the Mainardi and the Wright function inR+, two different initial-boundary-value problems for the time-fractional diffusion equation on the real positive semiaxis are solved.

Imaging of High‐Risk Neuroblastoma: Recommendations From SIOPEN Radiology and Nuclear Medicine Specialty Committees

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Neuroblastoma is the most common extracranial solid tumor in early childhood. Its clinical behavior is highly variable, ranging from spontaneous regression to fatal outcome despite intensive treatment. The International Society of Pediatric Oncology Europe Neuroblastoma Group (SIOPEN) Radiology and Nuclear Medicine Specialty Committees ...

Fuzzy System-Based Position Tracking Iterative Learning Control for Tank Gun Control Systems With Error Constraints

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2022
In order to get accurate position tracking and effective system constraint together for tank gun control systems, a fuzzy system-based barrier adaptive iterative learning control scheme is proposed.

Criterion‐Related Validity of the Neuropsychological Quick Assessment for Screening Cognitive, Motor, and Behavioral Impairments in Patients With Pediatric Brain Tumors: An Observational Pilot Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Neuropsychological complications may impair the qualitative prognosis of patients with pediatric brain tumors. However, multifaceted evaluations cannot be conducted in all patients because they are time consuming and burdensome for patients.

Parent Quality of Life at Two Years Following Their Child's Completion of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia Treatment

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Parents of children treated for acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) often experience significant caregiver burden and disruption to their well‐being. While parent quality of life (QoL) during treatment is well characterized, little is known about outcomes during early survivorship.
