Asymptotic Estimates of the Solution of a Restoration Problem with an Initial Jump
The asymptotic behavior of the solution of the singularly perturbed boundary value problem Lεy=htλ,Liy+σiλ=ai,i=1,n+1̅ is examined. The derivations prove that a unique pair (ỹt,λ̃ε,ε,λ̃ε) exists, in which components y(t,λ̃ε,ε) and λ̃(ε) satisfy the ...

Dirac Equation with External Potential and Initial Data on Cauchy Surfaces [PDF]
With this paper we provide a mathematical review on the initial-value problem of the one-particle Dirac equation on space-like Cauchy hypersurfaces for compactly supported external potentials.

Hybrid solution method for ultra-wideband positioning in coal mines
Ultra-wideband positioning is based on the marked point distance measured by the base station and a set of non-linear positioning equations to obtain the precise device position by applying Taylor series expansion algorithm, Chan algorithm or least ...

Blow-Up of Positive Solutions to Wave Equations in High Space Dimensions [PDF]
This paper is concerned with the Cauchy problem for the semilinear wave equation: $u_{tt}-\Delta u=F(u) \ \mbox{in} \ R^n\times[0, \infty)$, where the space dimension $n \ge 2$, $F(u)=|u|^p$ or $F(u)=|u|^{p-1}u$ with $p>1$.

Nonlinear initial-value problems with positive global solutions
Summary: We give conditions on \(m(t)\), \(p(t)\), and \(f(t,y,z)\) so that the nonlinear initial value problem \[ \frac{1}{m(t)} (p(t)y')'+ f(t,y,p(t)y')=0\quad\text{for }t>0,\quad y(0)=0, \quad \lim_{t\to 0^+} p(t)y'(t)= B, \] has at least one positive solution for all \(t>0\), when \(B\) is a sufficiently small positive constant.

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Calibration of a Manipulator With a Regularized Parameter Identification Method
As an inverse problem, the parameter identification of manipulators is essential to in-situ calibration. Since the ill-posed inverse kinematic model is sensitive to the measurement value, even tiny errors will make the geometric model of the manipulator ...

Therapeutic strategies for MMAE‐resistant bladder cancer through DPP4 inhibition
We established monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE)‐resistant bladder cancer (BC) cell lines by exposure to progressively increasing concentrations of MMAE in vitro. RNA sequencing showed DPP4 expression was increased in MMAE‐resistant BC cells. Both si‐DPP4 and the DPP4 inhibitor sitagliptin suppressed the viability of MMAE‐resistant BC cells.
