Numerical solution for fractional Bratu’s initial value problem

open access: yesOpen Physics, 2017
In this paper, a method for solving fractional Bratu’s initial value problem (FBIVP) is presented. The main idea behind this work is the use of the Bezier curve method (BCM). To show the efficiency of the developed method, numerical results are presented.

On the initial value problem for a class of nonlinear biharmonic equation with time-fractional derivative [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the Royal Society of Edinburgh: Section A Mathematics, 2021
In this study, we investigate the intial value problem (IVP) for a time-fractional fourth-order equation with nonlinear source terms. More specifically, we consider the time-fractional biharmonic with exponential nonlinearity and the time-fractional Cahn–

Stability analysis of initial value problem of pantograph-type implicit fractional differential equations with impulsive conditions

open access: yes, 2021
In this paper, we study an initial value problem for a class of impulsive implicit-type fractional differential equations (FDEs) with proportional delay terms.

Initial Value Problem For Nonlinear Fractional Differential Equations With ψ-Caputo Derivative Via Monotone Iterative Technique

open access: yesAxioms, 2020
In this article, we discuss the existence and uniqueness of extremal solutions for nonlinear initial value problems of fractional differential equations involving the ψ -Caputo derivative. Moreover, some uniqueness results are obtained.

The Initial Value Problem for the Euler Equations of Incompressible Fluids Viewed as a Concave Maximization Problem [PDF]

open access: yesCommunications in Mathematical Physics, 2017
We consider the Euler equations of incompressible fluids (Arnold and Khesin in Topological methods in hydrodynamics, Springer, Berlin, 1998; Lions in Mathematical topics in fluid mechanics, vol 1.

The initial value problem as it relates to numerical relativity [PDF]

open access: yesReports on progress in physics. Physical Society, 2016
Spacetime is foliated by spatial hypersurfaces in the 3+1 split of general relativity. The initial value problem then consists of specifying initial data for all fields on one such a spatial hypersurface, such that the subsequent evolution forward in ...

A Fitted Scheme for a Caputo Initial-Boundary Value Problem [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Scientific Computing, 2018
In this paper we consider an initial-boundary value problem with a Caputo time derivative of order α∈(0,1)\documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage{amsbsy} \usepackage ...

Initial-value problems and signature change [PDF]

open access: yesClassical and Quantum Gravity, 1996
We make a rigorous study of classical field equations on a 2-dimensional signature changing spacetime using the techniques of operator theory. Boundary conditions at the surface of signature change are determined by forming self-adjoint extensions of the Schr dinger Hamiltonian.

The initial-boundary value problem for the biharmonic Schrödinger equation on the half-line [PDF]

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Analysis, 2018
We study the local and global wellposedness of the initial-boundary value problem for the biharmonic Schr\"odinger equation on the half-line with inhomogeneous Dirichlet-Neumann boundary data. First, we obtain a representation formula for the solution of

Unique Existence Result of Approximate Solution to Initial Value Problem for Fractional Differential Equation of Variable Order Involving the Derivative Arguments on the Half-Axis

open access: yesMathematics, 2019
The semigroup properties of the Riemann–Liouville fractional integral have played a key role in dealing with the existence of solutions to differential equations of fractional order.
