Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Global extrapolation procedures for special and general initial value problems [PDF]

open access: yes, 1986
Two- and three- grid global extrapolation procedures are considered fohe special and general initial value problems of arbitrary order r tq. Extrapolation formulas are developed for consistent numerical methods of arbitrary order p .

Time-Fractional Optimal Control of Initial Value Problems on Time Scales

open access: yes, 2019
We investigate Optimal Control Problems (OCP) for fractional systems involving fractional-time derivatives on time scales. The fractional-time derivatives and integrals are considered, on time scales, in the Riemann--Liouville sense.

Initial-boundary value problems for continuity equations with BV coefficients [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We establish well-posedness of initial-boundary value problems for continuity equations with BV (bounded total variation) coefficients. We do not prescribe any condition on the orientation of the coefficients at the boundary of the domain.

Therapeutic strategies for MMAE‐resistant bladder cancer through DPP4 inhibition

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We established monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE)‐resistant bladder cancer (BC) cell lines by exposure to progressively increasing concentrations of MMAE in vitro. RNA sequencing showed DPP4 expression was increased in MMAE‐resistant BC cells. Both si‐DPP4 and the DPP4 inhibitor sitagliptin suppressed the viability of MMAE‐resistant BC cells.

Efficient Semi-Analytic Technique for Solving Nonlinear Singular Initial Value Problems

open access: yesIbn Al-Haitham Journal for Pure and Applied Sciences, 2017
The aim of this paper is to present a semi - analytic technique for solving singular initial value problems of ordinary differential equations with a singularity of different kinds to construct polynomial solution using two point  osculatory ...

Solution of infinite horizon nonlinear optimal control problems by piecewise adomian decomposition method

open access: yesMathematical Modelling and Analysis, 2013
In this paper, a Piecewise Adomian Decomposition Method (PADM) is used to obtain the analytical approximate solution for a class of infinite horizon nonlinear optimal control problems (OCPs). The method is a new modification of the standard ADM, in which

Identification of serum protein biomarkers for pre‐cancerous lesions associated with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This work identified serum proteins associated with pancreatic epithelial neoplasms (PanINs) and early‐stage PDAC. Proteomics screens assessed genetically engineered mice with abundant PanINs, KPC mice (Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐KrasG12D/+ Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐Trp53R172H/+ Pdx1‐Cre) before PDAC development and also early‐stage PDAC patients (n = 31), compared to benign ...

On Solution of Regular Singular Initial Value Problems

open access: yesIbn Al-Haitham Journal for Pure and Applied Sciences, 2017
This paper devoted to the analysis of regular singular initial value problems for ordinary differential equations with a singularity of the first kind , we propose semi - analytic technique using two point osculatory interpolation to construct ...

Review of Summation-by-parts schemes for initial-boundary-value problems

open access: yes, 2013
High-order finite difference methods are efficient, easy to program, scales well in multiple dimensions and can be modified locally for various reasons (such as shock treatment for example).
