Class IIa HDACs forced degradation allows resensitization of oxaliplatin‐resistant FBXW7‐mutated colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
HDAC4 is degraded by the E3 ligase FBXW7. In colorectal cancer, FBXW7 mutations prevent HDAC4 degradation, leading to oxaliplatin resistance. Forced degradation of HDAC4 using a PROTAC compound restores drug sensitivity by resetting the super‐enhancer landscape, reprogramming the epigenetic state of FBXW7‐mutated cells to resemble oxaliplatin ...

Quantitative evaluation of insulin‐induced abdominal subcutaneous dystrophic tissue using shear wave elastography

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes Investigation, 2022
Aims/Introduction Subcutaneous dystrophic tissue (DT) produced by insulin injection causes dysglycemia owing to inadequate absorption of insulin. However, precise techniques for measuring DT have not been established.

Local Tolerance of Subcutaneous Injections

open access: yesJournal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology, 1996
Abstract Human insulin-like growth factor I (hIGF-I) has several possible clinical applications. Because subcutaneous administration of the drug can cause pain, local tolerance to injection of different formulations with or without hIGF-I has been investigated in man using isotonic saline solution as reference.

Effective therapeutic targeting of CTNNB1‐mutant hepatoblastoma with WNTinib

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
WNTinib, a Wnt/CTNNB1 inhibitor, was tested in hepatoblastoma (HB) experimental models. It delayed tumor growth and improved survival in CTNNB1‐mutant in vivo models. In organoids, WNTinib outperformed cisplatin and showed enhanced efficacy in combination therapy, supporting its potential as a targeted treatment for CTNNB1‐mutated HB.

Efficacy and safety of subcutaneous and intravenous rituximab plus cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisone in first-line diffuse large B-cell lymphoma: the randomized MabEase study

open access: yesHaematologica, 2017
Intravenous rituximab plus chemotherapy is standard treatment for diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. A subcutaneous formulation of rituximab is expected to simplify and shorten drug preparation and administration, and to reduce treatment burden.

Superparamagnetic iron oxide polyacrylic acid coated {\gamma}-Fe2O3 nanoparticles does not affect kidney function but causes acute effect on the cardiovascular function in healthy mice

open access: yes, 2012
This study describes the distribution of intravenously injected polyacrylic acid (PAA) coated {\gamma}-Fe2O3 NPs (10 mg kg-1) at the organ, cellular and subcellular levels in healthy BALB/cJ mice and in parallel addresses the effects of NP injection on ...

Current status and future directions of botulinum neurotoxins for targeting pain processing. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Current evidence suggests that botulinum neurotoxins (BoNTs) A1 and B1, given locally into peripheral tissues such as skin, muscles, and joints, alter nociceptive processing otherwise initiated by inflammation or nerve injury in animal models and humans.

LINC01116, a hypoxia‐lncRNA marker of pathological lymphangiogenesis and poor prognosis in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The LINC01116 long noncoding RNA is induced by hypoxia and associated with poor prognosis and high recurrence rates in two cohorts of lung adenocarcinoma patients. Here, we demonstrate that besides its expression in cancer cells, LINC01116 is markedly expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells of the tumor stroma in which it participates in hypoxia ...
