Injectivity and Graded Injectivity

Southeast Asian Bulletin of Mathematics, 2003
The injectivity and graded injectivity of modules is studied. Injective testing sets of semiprime noetherian rings and FBN rings are particularily investigated. It is proved that gr-injectivity implies injectivity for commutative artinian graded rings graded by the integers, and also it is proved that the gr-global dimension and global dimension are ...

Injective and Weakly Injective Rings

Canadian Mathematical Bulletin, 1988
AbstractLet V be a variety of rings and let A ∊ V. The ring A is injective in V if every trianglewith C ∊ V, m a monomorphism and f a homomorphism has a commutative completion as indicated. A ring which is injective in some variety (equivalently, injective in the variety it generates) is called injective.

Intrapulpal injection: Distribution of an injected solution

Journal of Endodontics, 1983
Fifty dog teeth were injected with a mixture ofradiocontrast medium and colloidal carbon. The distribution of the components was traced and compared radiographically and in thin sections. The thin section evaluation indicated that the colloidal carbon could be detected further from the injection site than could the radiocontrast medium.

Classification of monoids by injectivities I. C-injectivity

Semigroup Forum, 2007
For a monoid \(S\), a right \(S\)-act \(A_S\) is called `C-injective' if for any cyclic \(S\)-act \(M_S\), any homomorphism \(f\colon M_S\to A_S\) can be extended to any right \(S\)-act \(N_S\supseteq M_S\). It is proved that all right ideals of \(S\) (or, equivalently, all principal right ideals of \(S\)) are C-injective if and only if \(S\) is a ...

Pain on injection of propofol: the effect of injectate temperature

Anaesthesia, 1990
Summary A double‐blind, randomised clinical study was undertaken to compare the effect of temperature on the incidence and severity of the pain experienced on injection of propofol. The number of patients who experienced pain and the severity of the pain were reduced significantly when propofol was administered at a temperature of 4°C.

When are Quasi-Injectives Injective?

Canadian Mathematical Bulletin, 1972
We call a ring R (associative and with identity) for which every quasi-injective right R-module is injective a QII-ring. Similarly R is called an SSI-ring when every semisimple right R-module is injective. Clearly every semisimple, artinian ring is a QII-ring and every QII-ring is an SSI-ring.

A Comparison of Inject-on-Read and Inject-on-Write in ISA-Level Fault Injection

2015 11th European Dependable Computing Conference (EDCC), 2015
ISA-level fault injection, i.e. the injection of bit-flip faults in Instruction Set Architecture (ISA) registers and main memory words, is widely used for studying the impact of transient and intermittent hardware faults in computer systems. This paper compares two techniques for ISA-level fault injection: inject-on-read, and inject-on-write. The first

Tree Injection: Perspective Macro-Injection/Micro-Injection

Arboriculture & Urban Forestry, 1981
This paper discusses the advantages and disadvantages of injection technologies currently in use. It presents evidence to demonstrate that the risk of injury produced by micro-injections (wounds 3/1 6" or less in diameter to a depth of %" or less into the xylem) is much reduced when compared to the macro-injections (wounds 3/8" or greater in diameter ...
