When are Quasi-Injectives Injective?

Canadian Mathematical Bulletin, 1972
We call a ring R (associative and with identity) for which every quasi-injective right R-module is injective a QII-ring. Similarly R is called an SSI-ring when every semisimple right R-module is injective. Clearly every semisimple, artinian ring is a QII-ring and every QII-ring is an SSI-ring.

Fat injection

Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, 1990
The results of grafts of fat obtained through liposuction are presented. They are the outcome of the current revitalization of the old technique of fat extraction and transplant. Both doctor and patient should be aware that a successful treatment is achieved through continuity.

Tree Injection: Perspective Macro-Injection/Micro-Injection

Arboriculture & Urban Forestry, 1981
This paper discusses the advantages and disadvantages of injection technologies currently in use. It presents evidence to demonstrate that the risk of injury produced by micro-injections (wounds 3/1 6" or less in diameter to a depth of %" or less into the xylem) is much reduced when compared to the macro-injections (wounds 3/8" or greater in diameter ...

Parenteral Injections

Current Protocols in Immunology, 1995
AbstractThis unit describes the techniques for the following routes of injection for mice, rats, hamsters and rabbits: intramuscular, intradermal, subcutaneous, intravenous, intraperitoneal, footpad, and intrathymic. Guidelines are also given regarding injection volumes and temperatures, and the use of proper restraints.

Injectable Contraception

Clinical Obstetrics & Gynecology, 2007
Injectable contraceptive methods are safe, highly efficacious, and commonly used worldwide. Depo-Provera (depot-medroxyprogesterone acetate) is the most commonly used injectable in the United States. It is a convenient, discrete, and low-maintenance method, and is ideal for patients with contraindications to estrogen use and certain medical conditions.

Intrathymic Injection

2016
Intrathymic injection is used in several T cell-associated immunological studies to deliver cells or other substances directly into the thymus. Here, we describe the intrathymic injection procedure involving surgical incision of the mouse with or without a thoracotomy.

Injection laryngoplasty

Otolaryngologic Clinics of North America, 2004
After a nearly a century of development, augmentation of laryngeal tissue through injection remains as complex a procedure as it was in the earlier part of the century. Initially, the number of surgeons performing injection laryngoplasty was limited since the technique of injection was thought to be difficult and the selection of cases was thought to ...

Injective Approximations

Canadian Mathematical Bulletin, 1986
AbstractLet C be a cochain complex satisfying the condition that inj.dim. Hq(C) < ∞. Then we prove that C admits an injective approximation.
