t-structures and twisted complexes on derived injectives

open access: yes, 2021
: In the paper Deformation theory of abelian categories, the last two authors proved that an abelian category with enough injectives can be reconstructed as the category of finitely presented modules over the category of its injective objects.

Identification of a Shiga toxin A‐derived peptide internalized into Gb3 receptor‐bearing cells via interaction with the Shiga toxin B subunit

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The process of internalization of the Shiga toxin A subunit via formation of a complex with the Shiga toxin B subunit, which specifically binds to the Gb3 receptor. The peptide is designed to act as a carrier of drugs into cancer cells. Here, we explored the potential of peptides derived from the catalytic A subunit of Shiga toxin (STxA) to be drug ...

Decomposing Certain Projectives in Category O

open access: yes
We introduce the BGG category O of a finite-dimensional semisimple Lie algebra g with the initial aims of providing a detailed introduction to the subject and establishing the main results of the original BGG paper [BGG76].

Projective space codes for the injection metric [PDF]

open access: yes2009 11th Canadian Workshop on Information Theory, 2009
In the context of error control in random linear network coding, it is useful to construct codes that comprise well-separated collections of subspaces of a vector space over a finite field. In this paper, the metric used is the so-called "injection distance", introduced by Silva and Kschischang.

An epithelial GPR35 isoform supports tumor‐associated transcriptional and metabolic phenotypes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
GPR35 generates two functionally distinct isoforms with previously unresolved roles. GPR35‐short mediates immune‐cell chemotaxis, while GPR35‐long is enriched in colorectal cancer epithelium, where it supports increased metabolism, proliferation, and tumor‐associated transcriptional programs.

Every module is an inverse limit of injectives [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
It is shown that any left module A over a ring R can be written as the intersection of a downward directed system of injective submodules of an injective module; equivalently, as an inverse limit of one-to-one homomorphisms of injectives.

C-injectivity and C-projectivity

open access: yesHiroshima Mathematical Journal, 2007
The author, in this paper, introduces the notions of c-injectivity and c-projectivity for modules and studies their properties. The author studies c-injectivity in relation to Noetherian rings, principal ideal rings and quasi-Frobenius rings. The author gives partial answer to the Matlis problem that ``is every direct summand of a completely ...

Weakly Projective and Weakly Injective Modules [PDF]

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Mathematics, 1994
AbstractA module M is said to be weakly N-projective if it has a projective cover π: P(M) ↠M and for each homomorphism : P(M) → N there exists an epimorphism σ:P(M) ↠M such that (kerσ) = 0, equivalently there exists a homomorphism :M ↠N such that σ= .

Liver organoids: modelling complexity in homeostasis and disease

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Studying liver in vitro has been challenging because simple 2D cell cultures fail to capture liver's cellular and architectural complexity. To bridge this gap, scientists increasingly use organoids, 3D liver models which better mimic liver composition and function. This review examines recent advances in liver organoid complexity and realism, discusses
