Aptamer‐Based Delivery Systems for VEGF and NGF Modulation in Ocular Therapies
Aptamer‐based delivery systems targeting NGF and VEGF hold significant potential for precise and sustained treatment of complex diseases affecting both the anterior and posterior segments of the eye. This review critically summarizes current strategies for NGF and VEGF delivery as well as VEGF sequestration, providing a clinical perspective on how ...

Ink Disease of European Chestnut and Distribution of Associated Phytophthora Species in Greece
Ink disease and chestnut blight of European chestnut (Castanea sativa) represent the two major threats for chestnut orchards and coppice forests in Greece. Interestingly enough, the application of biological control of chestnut blight by introducing Cryphonectria hypovirus CHV1 on a nationwide scale has been successful in limiting the disease. However,

This study developed a bioprinted co‐culture system embedding rat pancreatic islets and Scenedesmus sp. microalgae spatially defined in close vicinity. Red light was found optimal to ensure microalgal photosynthesis while maintaining islet viability and functionality. A tailored co‐culture medium supported both cell types.
