Relativistic Effects in Atomic Inner-Shell Transitions

AIP Conference Proceedings, 1982
Theoretical calculations of atomic inner‐shell transition rates based on independent‐particle models are reviewed. Factors affecting inner‐shell transition rates are examined, particularly the effects of relativity.

Inner shell transitions of Br I in the EUV

Physics Letters A, 1981
Abstract The EUV line spectrum originating from transitions of the inner 3d shell of neutral atomic bromine has been observed in absorption. Fano parameters have been derived for the three autoionized resonances n d 10 (n + 1) s 2 (n + 1) p 5 2 P −n d 9 (n + 1) s 2 (n + 1) p 6 2 D ...

Building Trust in PRVAs by User Inner State Transition through Agent State Transition

Proceedings of the Fourth International Conference on Human Agent Interaction, 2016
In this research, we aim to suggest a method for designing trustworthy PRVAs (product recommendation virtual agents). We define an agent's trustworthiness as being operated by user emotion and knowledgeableness perceived by humans. Also, we suggest a user inner state transition model for increasing trust. To increase trust, we aim to cause user emotion

Inner-Shell Ionization by Transition Radiation

1985
Recently it has been suggested1 that photons of the transition radiation might cause K-shell ionization to such an amount that the number of vacancies are not any longer negligible compared to the number caused by ultra relativistic electrons. These assumptions are based on the observation of the X-ray yield following ionization by e+, π+ and p beams ...

Inner-core photoelectron spectra of transition metals

Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 1986
Abstract The role of d electron correlations on the inner-core photoelectron spectra of transition metals is investigated on the basis of the theory developed by Kakehashi, Becker and Fulde. The d electron correlations strongly suppress the charge fluctuations, and therefore explain the atomic-like features of 3s spectr in 3d transition metals.
