Synthesis, structure, and high-temperature thermoelectric properties of boron-doped Ba_8Al_(14)Si_(31) clathrate I phases [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Single crystals of boron-doped Ba_8Al_(14)Si_(31) clathrate I phase were prepared using Al flux growth. The structure and elemental composition of the samples were characterized by single-crystal and powder X-ray diffraction; elemental analysis; and ...

Low energy paths for octahedral tilting in inorganic halide perovskites

open access: yes, 2018
Instabilities relating to cooperative octahedral tilting is common in materials with perovskite structures, and in particular in the sub class of halide perovskites.

Enhancing Low‐Temperature Performance of Sodium‐Ion Batteries via Anion‐Solvent Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
DOL is introduced into electrolytes as a co‐solvent, increasing slat solubility, ion conductivity, and the de‐solvent process, and forming an anion‐rich solvent shell due to its high interaction with anion. With the above virtues, the batteries using this electrolyte exhibit excellent cycling stability at low temperatures. Abstract Sodium‐ion batteries

Dioxygen Activation by Internally Aromatic Metallacycle: Crystallographic Structure and Mechanistic Investigations

open access: yesiScience, 2020
Summary: Mononuclear metal-peroxo species are invoked as the key intermediates in metalloenzymatic or synthetic catalysis. However, either transience or sluggishness reactivity of synthetic analogs of metal-peroxo species impedes our understanding of ...
