: Two new Zn(II) N-(4-X-phenyl)pyridine-2-yl-methanimine complexes, [Zn(NN´-Cl)Cl2](1) and [Zn(NN´-N(CH3)2)Cl2](2), have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR and NMR-1H spectra. The crystal structure of complex 1 was determined

Heterodimeric amino acid transporters consist of SLC7 and SLC3 family proteins arranged in a conserved structural organization. They regulate nutrient transport across cell membranes, supporting essential cellular functions. These transporters also contribute to xenobiotic/drug uptake and distribution.

X-ray Spectroscopy of Inorganic Materials [PDF]
X-ray spectroscopies have been applied on different inorganic materials with a main focus on 3d-metal materials and iron compounds in particular. Different theoretical treatments of x-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) are compared with each other and ...

Membrane composition and thermodynamic identity as boundaries of life for synthetic cell research
What makes a cell a cell? The boundary of a living cell is not just a wall. Read as a Markov blanket, the membrane separates internal from external states, generating identity and non‐equilibrium order. Can this identity be rebuilt from scratch in a synthetic cell?

Amide-Stabilized Enols in the Enol-Ugi Reaction: A Five-Component Synthesis of Triamides
In continuation with our research in the use of enols in multicomponent reactions with isocyanides (IMCR), for the first time we have used amide-stabilized enols as the acid component in enol-Ugi reactions.

Design, synthesis, structural, and spectra characterize of Metal (II) Formate complexes [M(O2CH)2]•n(Solvent) (M =Mn, Cu) [PDF]
oai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/1457Formate anion is the simplest carboxylate, compared with other carboxylate, it owns more excellent coordination ability. We used M(OAc)2·n H2O (M=Mn, Cu) as a raw starting material, hydrothermal synthesis methods assisted ...

Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.
