Inpainting of Cyclic Data using First and Second Order Differences [PDF]
Cyclic data arise in various image and signal processing applications such as interferometric synthetic aperture radar, electroencephalogram data analysis, and color image restoration in HSV or LCh spaces.

Stereoscopic Image Inpainting: Distinct Depth Maps and Images Inpainting [PDF]
In this paper we propose an algorithm for inpainting of stereo images. The issue is to reconstruct the holes in a pair of stereo image as if they were the projection of a 3D scene. Hence, the reconstruction of the missing information has to produce a consistent visual perception of depth.

Image Inpainting Algorithm Based on Synthetic Sample Block by Gray Entropy [PDF]
The performance of image inpainting is dependent on the utilization of known information for inpainting the missing parts of the images, and fast speed of inpainting is required.Aiming at these two key issues,an inpainting algorithm is proposed which ...

Mask Optimization for Image Inpainting
This paper proposes a novel approach to image inpainting that optimizes the shape of masked regions given by users. In image inpainting, which removes and restores unwanted regions in images, users draw masks to specify the regions. However, it is widely

An Algorithm for Total Variation Inpainting Based on Nonlinear Multi-Grid Methods
Image inpainting refers to restoring a damaged image with missing information. The total variation (TV) inpainting model is one such method that simultaneously fills in the regions with available information from their surroundings and eliminates noises.

On surface completion and image inpainting by biharmonic functions: Numerical aspects [PDF]
Numerical experiments with smooth surface extension and image inpainting using harmonic and biharmonic functions are carried out. The boundary data used for constructing biharmonic functions are the values of the Laplacian and normal derivatives of the ...

In this paper, we propose a method to restore a single image affected by space-varying blur. The main novelty of our method is the use of recurring patterns as regularization during the restoration process. We postulate that restored patterns in the deblurred image should resemble other sharp details in the input image.

Inpainting surface holes [PDF]
An algorithm for filling-in surface holes is introduced in this paper. The basic idea is to represent the surface of interest in implicit form, and fill-in the holes with a system of geometric partial differential equations derived from image inpainting algorithms. The framework and examples with synthetic and real data are presented.
