PAK1 activation drives divergent resistance mechanisms to aromatase inhibition and tamoxifen in a luminal: A breast cancer model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

Notes On Some Common Misconceptions In Input-Output Impact Methodology [PDF]

open access: yes
The methodology in many studies involving input-output analysis appears to be often misunderstood, particularly in the way multipliers are used. The preoccupation with multipliers has led in many cases to incorrect analytical procedures; for example ...

Pilot Appliacation of the Dynamic Input-Output Model. Case Study of the Czech Republic 2005-2013 [PDF]

open access: yesStatistika: Statistics and Economy Journal, 2016
The aim of this article is to provide the very first analysis in the field of dynamic Input-Output (I-O) models for the Czech Republic. This study examines the practicality of production dynamic equations for an estimation of future production enhanced ...

Correlation characteristic analysis in diversity multiple‐input multiple‐output radar

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2017
A huge limitation of the correlation analysis in existing scatterer model is that only uniformly distributed scatterers are considered ignoring the variability of scattering intensity in the real situation.

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...
