Learning Nonlinear Motor Control: How Integrating Machine Learning and Nonlinear Dynamics Reveals Structure, Adaptation, and Control in Human Movement

open access: yesActuators
Human movement emerges from complex interactions between neural processes, musculoskeletal dynamics, and environmental constraints, resulting in behavior that is inherently nonlinear.

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

A Data‐Driven Control Framework for HIV Infection Using Projection Recurrent Neural Networks and Singular Value Analysis

open access: yesEngineering Reports
In this study, we explore drug treatment for HIV infection through a novel approach that combines data‐driven sliding mode control (DDSMC) with a projection recurrent neural network (PRNN).

Robust Closed–Open Loop Iterative Learning Control for MIMO Discrete-Time Linear Systems with Dual-Varying Dynamics and Nonrepetitive Uncertainties

open access: yesMathematics
Iterative learning control (ILC) typically requires strict repeatability in initial states, trajectory length, external disturbances, and system dynamics. However, these assumptions are often difficult to fully satisfy in practical applications.

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Static output-feedback stabilization of discrete-time Markovian jump linear systems: a system augmentation approach [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
This paper studies the static output-feedback (SOF) stabilization problem for discrete-time Markovian jump systems from a novel perspective. The closed-loop system is represented in a system augmentation form, in which input and gain-output matrices are ...

Drivers of Carbon Emissions in China’s Construction Industry: A Perspective from Interregional Carbon Transfer

open access: yesBuildings
The construction sector is pivotal to China’s economy, with interregional trade driving carbon emission transfers. This study uses 2007–2017 panel data from 30 provinces to analyze provincial carbon transfer patterns, combining input-output analysis and ...
