Characteristic Input Harmonics of DC-DC Converters and their Effect on Input Filter Design

IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics and Control Instrumentation, 1981
Design curves are presented from which the individual harmonics generated at the input to a dc-dc chopper can be determined. The effect of the chopper output ripple current on the input harmonics is included. These generalized curves can be used to determine the input filter component ratings as well as to compute the harmonics injected into the source.

Scleractinian assemblages under sediment input: their characteristics and relation to the nutrient input concept

Palaeogeography, Palaeoclimatology, Palaeoecology, 2005
Abstract In the geological record, scleractinian-dominated “turbid-water” bioconstructions that accumulated under substantial terrigenous input, along with shallow neritic marls rich in well-preserved corals are common. These occurrences indicate that beyond some threshold, the ecologic and taphonomic effects of sedimentation prevail over the effects

Prices and Demands for Input Characteristics: Reply

American Journal of Agricultural Economics, 1977
This reply covers four topics: (a) a brief comparison of the Westgren and Schrader (WS) and the Ladd and Martin (LM) formulations of blending processes in multiproduct plants, (b) a brief comparison of objective functions in the two models, (c) derivation of shadow prices of characteristics from the WS model, and (d) reevaluation of evidence on sign ...

Output characteristic function for an analog crosscorrelator with bandpass inputs

IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 1967
An analysis is presented of an ideal two-channel cross-correlator in which each channel input consists of a deterministic signal combined additively with stationary Gaussian noise. It is assumed that all input quantities are bandlimited to some common passband, 0 , with angular bandwidth \Omega > 0 .

A study of the input/output variable characteristics in DEA

Journal of the Chinese Institute of Industrial Engineers, 2010
Since Charnes et al. [“Measuring the efficiency of decision making units,” European Journal of Operational Research, 2, 429–444 (1978)] proposed the concept of data envelopment analysis (DEA), many papers have been published using DEA. However, not many of these papers discuss the fundamental characteristics of input and output variables. For instance,

Input–output characteristics of the tectorial membrane in the frog basilar papilla

Hearing Research, 2010
The basilar papilla (BP) in the frog inner ear is a relatively simple auditory receptor. Its hair cells are embedded in a stiff support structure, with the stereovilli connecting to a flexible tectorial membrane (TM). Acoustic energy passing the papilla presumably causes displacement of the TM, which in turn deflects the stereovilli and stimulates the ...

Characteristics of the multiple-input DC-DC converter

Proceedings of IEEE Power Electronics Specialist Conference - PESC '93, 2002
A multiple-input DC-DC converter is proposed for realizing a clean electric power generation system. The two-input buck-boost type converter is analyzed, and the static and dynamic characteristics are clarified theoretically and are confirmed by experiment. >

Input Admittance Characteristics of a Tuned Coupled Circuit

Proceedings of the IRE, 1952
A steady-state analysis is given of an important double-tuned coupled circuit to determine the input admittance when the primary Q is high and the secondary Q is low. Particular emphasis is placed on the phase variation of the admittance with frequency.
