A novel topology for ripple-free inputting current techniques

Journal of Zhejiang University-SCIENCE A, 2001
A novel topology for ripple-free input current circuit is put forward in the paper. Compared to traditional EMI (electromagnetic interference) filter consisting of choke and capacitor, the ripple-free topology can reduce the converter's ripple current with the use of smaller component.

Low input current ripple converters for fuel cell power units

2005 European Conference on Power Electronics and Applications, 2005
Proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) generators are today considered as a viable solution to the development of auxiliary, or back up, power units for automotive, computer and telecommunications systems. Several of these applications require a power conditioner with high efficiency, high conversion ratio and very low input current ripple to ...

Free ripple input current high boost converter with coupled inductors

2015 5th International Conference on Electric Utility Deregulation and Restructuring and Power Technologies (DRPT), 2015
In renewable energy power conditioning system (PCS), like photovoltaic and fuel cell sources, the low input cur rent ripple represents a very important issue to improve the source efficiency. This paper proposes a topology of a DC-DC high gain boost converter with a zero input current ripple condition.

Reflected input ripple current in a distributed powering system

[Proceedings] Fourteenth International Telecommunications Energy Conference - INTELEC '92, 2003
The input ripple current for single and multiconverter systems is described, and a series of general equations which can accurately predict ripple for virtually all topologies is developed. It is determined that the input ripple current of a converter may vary in different systems due to the variations in the feeder impedances.

An interleaved AC/DC converter with low input and output ripple current

IECON 2016 - 42nd Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2016
A high performance interleaving AC to DC converter is introduced in this paper. The proposed converter adopted two shunted elementary isolated AC to DC converter. They operate at interleaving mode for advancing its supply power. The current stress of main switches in the presented converter can be reduced.

An analysis of the ripple components of the input current and voltage of PWM inverters

Proceedings of 1995 International Conference on Power Electronics and Drive Systems. PEDS 95, 2002
In this paper, an analysis of the ripple components of the input current and voltage of three-phase voltage-source PWM inverters is presented. The analytical expressions for the input current and voltage ripples of the inverter as a function of the PWM reference signal are derived.

An improved topology of boost converter with ripple free input current

APEC 2000. Fifteenth Annual IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition (Cat. No.00CH37058), 2002
An improved topology of a boost converter is proposed in this paper, in which an extra transformer and a capacitor are added into a conventional booster converter to reduce the input current ripple. Comparing existing topologies with coupled inductors, the new circuit realises ripple free input current without elaborately adjusting the coupling ...

Feedback controlled boost converter with low input current ripple

2018 International Conference on Power, Signals, Control and Computation (EPSCICON), 2018
The conventional boost converters(CBC) are used to step up the dc voltage from a low level to higher level. At high gain, it have large input current ripple which reduce the performance of the circuit. Conventional Boost Converters with Tapped Inductor Ripple Minimization network (TIRMN) is presented in this paper.

Asymmetrical half-bridge converter with input current ripple reduction

2014 International Conference on Intelligent Green Building and Smart Grid (IGBSG), 2014
Employing an L-C-L filter cell to modify the asymmetrical half-bridge converter (AHBC), an AHBC with input current ripple reduction (AHBC-CRR) is proposed. In addition to having zero-voltage switching operation, low voltage stress, lossless snubbing, and voltage clamping features preserved from its predecessor, the proposed converter can shape input ...

A high gain boost converter with input current ripple reduction

2014 International Conference on Circuits, Power and Computing Technologies [ICCPCT-2014], 2014
Input current ripple from a switching power supply contains considerable low order harmonics, necessitating extra design efforts for reducing the amount of electro magnetic interference. This paper presents a boost converter achieving input current ripple reduction by the proper designing of inductors. This is achieved with minimal number of components.
