Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

The DC microgrid system is composed by converters that operate like feeders and loads. Among these loads, we highlight the constant power loads (CPLs) that may cause instability in the microgrid, observed in the form of undesired oscillations due to its ...

An optimisation approach to the location and sizing of multiple leaks in a duct [PDF]
A single leak in a duct can be located, and its size predicted, by measuring the input impedance of the duct and then solving an inverse problem. However, extending this procedure to a duct containing several leaks is non-trivial, with the resulting ...

Aortic input impedance in heart failure. [PDF]
The input impedance of the systemic circulation was calculated from recordings of pulsatile pressure and flow in the ascending aorta of 20 patients. Ten patients had clinical and hemodynamic evidence of heart failure. The other 10 subjects had no clinical evidence of heart failure and were used as a control group.

We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

Trombone Transfer Functions: Comparison Between Frequency-Swept Sine Wave and Human Performer Input
Source/filter models have frequently been used to model sound production of the vocal apparatus and musical instruments. Beginning in 1968, in an effort to measure the transfer function (i.e., transmission response or filter characteristic) of a ...

Virtual Impedance Shaping for the Bus Conversion System in the Hybrid AC/DC Grid
The bus conversion system in the hybrid AC/DC grid is usually composed of a three-phase interlinking converter and a DC-side input filter. The impedance interaction between the converter and the input filter may cause instability of the DC-link ...

Tunable Versatile High Input Impedance Voltage-Mode Universal Biquadratic Filter Based on DDCCs [PDF]
A high input impedance voltage-mode universal biquadratic filter with three input terminals and seven output terminals is presented. The proposed circuit uses three differential difference current conveyors (DDCCs), four resistors and two grounded ...

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve
