Bioenergetics in insect-plant interactions
Proceedings: Animal Sciences, 1990Homeostatic mechanisms involving the regulation of the rates and efficiency of food consumption and utilization are reviewed. Adjustment in the rates and efficiencies of consumption and utilization of food during switching on from one host plant to another as well as the compensatory tactics among the consumer species are discussed.

Chemodynamics of insect-plant interactions
Journal of Palaeosciences, 1992Instances of coevolutionary adaptations in insect-plant interactions are discussed and overall analysis of the chemical ecological basis of host plant suitability and resistance has been attempted including the implications of the impact of volatiles in tritrophic interactions.

Variability in insect-plant interactions
1992A workshop on this topic was held by the European Science Foundation (ESF) Network on Insect-Plant Interactions in Budapest, 25–26th August 1991. Discussions addressed the causes and effects of differences occurring between individual organisms, or within the same organism at different times, whether attributable to known external or internal causative

Role of Glucosinolates in Insect-Plant Relationships and Multitrophic Interactions
Annual Review of Entomology, 2009Glucosinolates present classical examples of plant compounds affecting insect-plant interactions. They are found mainly in the family Brassicaceae, which includes several important crops. More than 120 different glucosinolates are known. The enzyme myrosinase, which is stored in specialized plant cells, converts glucosinolates to the toxic ...

Chemistry of insect-plant interactions
1992Chemistry plays a major role in insect-plant interactions. A workshop on the subject was held by the European Science Foundation (ESF) Network on Insect-Plant Interactions in Boldern (Switzerland), 4–7th November 1990. Since progress in this area of research needs a multidisciplinary approach, contributions in the forum of lectures and discussions came

Phytochemistry as a Multidimensional Interface in Insect–Plant Interactions
Integrative ZoologyPlant-insect interactions form a dynamic, co-evolutionary interface where plant secondary metabolites (SMs) act as central mediators. Shaped by both biotic and abiotic factors, these metabolites function beyond mere toxicity, modulating insect behavior, enabling multitrophic communication, and integrating environmental cues across ecological dimensions.
