Exact and Heuristic Solution Approaches for the Cluster Deletion Problem on General Graphs
ABSTRACT A cluster graph is a disjoint union of cliques, obtained by clustering the nodes of a given network and then removing the edges between nodes assigned to different clusters. The Cluster Deletion problem asks for the smallest subset of edges to be removed from a network in order to produce a cluster graph, which is equivalent to determining the

Abstract Climate‐driven disasters have disproportionate and often devastating consequences on individuals with disabilities. Warming ocean and air temperatures are fueling more extreme tropical cyclones, further endangering those living in at‐risk regions.

Antbears and underground melons: A highly specialized seed dispersal mutualism mediated by scent
Seed dispersal is critical for the establishment and persistence of populations of most plant species. We investigated the seed dispersal biology of an African melon, Cucumis humifructus, which is closely related to cultivated cucumbers and watermelons but differs in that it buries its fruits deep underground.

Huánglóngbìng (HLB) is a bacterial disease of citrus that has significantly impacted Brazil and the United States, although citrus production in the Mediterranean Basin remains unaffected. By developing a mathematical model of spread in Spain, we tested surveillance and control strategies before any future HLB entry in the EU.

Incidental pollination by passing animals: An overlooked mechanism?
The conservation of pollinators is essential for sustaining the ecosystem services of pollen transfer, which support crop production, biodiversity conservation and ecosystem health. While primary pollinators have been the focus of most conservation efforts, subordinate or incidental pollinators have been largely overlooked.
