Milk progesterone as a tool to improve fertility in dairy cows [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Milk progesterone offers an opportunity to objectively study fertility in dairy cows, in contrast to traditional measures of dairy cow fertility, which in general are highly influenced by on-farm management decisions.

The first Australian evidence‐based guidelines on male infertility

open access: yesMedical Journal of Australia, Volume 223, Issue 11, Page 653-663, December 2025.
Abstract Introduction Infertility affects about one in six couples and a male factor may contribute to 50% of cases. Until recently, no Australian‐based clinical guidelines for the management of male infertility had been published. A panel of experts was assembled to formulate the first Australian evidence‐based guidelines on male infertility.

Thoraco‐Omphalopagus Conjoined Twins Following IVF With Day 5 Embryo Transfer: A Rare Case Report and Multidisciplinary Management Approach

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 13, Issue 12, December 2025.
ABSTRACT Conjoined twinning is a rare and severe complication of monozygotic pregnancies. Assisted reproductive technologies (ART), including in vitro fertilization (IVF), may increase the risk of such anomalies. We report a case of thoraco‐omphalopagus conjoined twins following a day 5 embryo transfer after IVF with intracytoplasmic sperm injection ...

Mitochondrial Genome Analysis of Philippine Eagles (Pithecophaga jefferyi Ogilvie‐Grant 1896) From the Greater Mindanao Faunal Region

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 15, Issue 12, December 2025.
Mitogenome sequencing is a promising alternative for the genetic studies of animals. In this work, we examined the genetic diversity of the critically endangered and endemic Philippine eagles and their evolutionary relationship to other birds of prey.

Social Interaction With Females Modulates Context‐Dependent Male Guppy Mating Tactics for Female Receptivity

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 15, Issue 12, December 2025.
We experimentally tested how social experience influences male mating behavior and preference in guppies. Males raised in mixed‐sex groups adjusted their mating tactics based on female receptivity but did not differ in overall mate preference compared to males reared in male‐only groups. Our findings highlight how social experience can modulate context‐

Measuring competition coefficients in an ant community: Implications for intraspecific adaptation load

open access: yesEcology, Volume 106, Issue 12, December 2025.
Abstract Understanding the stable coexistence of species despite resource competition has been a central topic in ecology. Ant communities are particularly enigmatic as various species coexist despite resource overlap. Community ecology theory predicts stable species coexistence when intraspecific competition is stronger than interspecific competition,
